One would most definitely say that I’m obsessed with makeup but lip products are totally my weakness. I have way too many lip products and maybe it’s a tad unhealthy but at least I know I have a problem, right? During the warm summer months I absolutely love the look of bright lips, especially with a tan. This lip palette by Kevyn Aucoin is amazing because you can achieve basically any lip you want whether it be an everyday nude or a bright sassy pop of color!
I have to admit that I am not exactly familiar with the international Cannes film festival that has occurred annually since the 30’s in Cannes, France. The invitation-only event is held annually, usually in mid-May, during which a panel of jurors previews new films from all around the world.
This year American director, Steven Spielberg, will be the President of the jury. The jurors are a group of international artists that are chosen based on their body of work and the respect of their peers. Ultimately, the jurors along with the help of the lead juror will determine which films should receive the Cannes award.
I’ve been passively searching for “the” leather jacket for a while now. And I mean really passively searching. I still don’t even know if I should go with brown or black (I’m addicted to brown, but I know I should branch out with black), and I’m undecided about feminine versus moto-edgy-fierce styles. Do I want a collar? A zipper? Studs? Cuffs? Quilting?
Usually when I’m faced with an overwhelming plethora of options, it’s for toppings at a fro-yo place, and I just go with everything. Definitely not going to fly here.
One of my biggest issues with lipstick is that it won’t stay on my lips. It doesn’t matter what special formula/long-lasting tube I buy, they all come off within a few hours. If I’m wearing a light pink or nude color, that’s fine (but still annoying). If I’m wearing darker shades and red though, it leaves an undesirable leftover stain that looks like I’ve just eaten a cherry lollipop.
I may have stumbled on a solution to this problem though, in the form of a green (yes green) tube of lipstick.
I am 100%, unabashedly addicted to H&M. It’s a problem I have no intention of fixing. I love everything about that store: the clean cuts and tailoring, the quality of production, the colors, the artful fabric prints, the versatility of their pieces and most of all, the amazing prices. One of the main reasons why I was so excited to come home from college for the summer was to be closer to my H&M, because the mall near campus doesn’t have one.
So this morning as I was checking up on my daily news for the day, I stumbled upon an article that only affirmed my love for the store.
I was out the other night and noticed my friend’s cell phone case, covered in candy-colored jewels and gems. I’m probably what you would call a bling enthusiast. I love bright baubles, jewel hues and candy-like accessories. (And I may or may not always have at least one package of Ring Pops in my purse at all times… you know, for emergencies.) So naturally, I fell pretty hard for this case. And when she told me that she did it herself, I almost fell out of my chair! (The stout cocktails at the bar last night could also be to blame… but we’ll go with the DIY mention!) So here I am, a few days later, performing this DIY myself.
