I'm embarrassed to admit that I've been trying to meet societal standards for a summer body, and have recently started a diet. It's nothing too extreme, but weekday lunches do consist of a whole lot of lettuce, and I've been eating some sort of quinoa-like seeds daily. (Whole Foods advertised them as a replacement for gluten and quinoa, which itself is a gluten replacement, so they're probably just air puffs.) But while I may not savor every bite of food that goes into my mouth, I thankfully haven't resorted to eating anything named "fluffy mackerel pudding" or "jellied tomato refresher" to get in shape.
