Once the weather starts to cool down a little, I become way more adventurous with my hair. It may be because I’m in layers and I need my hair off of my back, or because it’s been cool and there was no need to wash my hair this week. Either way, I always bookmark a few different hairstyles to try once the humidity goes away. Here are a few styles that I’ll definitely be wearing this fall…

I switch up my part pretty regularly, but I love the idea of a deep side part. It’s a great way to get some extra volume. It’d be a perfect style for date night—the idea of looking out from underneath your hair can create a sultry, mysterious vibe.

This is some pretty gorgeous bedhead. I’m definitely making it a point this fall to embrace my natural texture and rock the bedhead every once and a while. I could use the extra sleep after all. Just put your hair in a ponytail or bun before bed and wake up, take it down, spritz some texturizing spray or dry shampoo and you’re good to go!
The sleek, high ponytails have been everywhere this fall, and I’m definitely going to take part in this low-maintenance style once the retail work atmosphere starts heating up. I do have to remember that it’s important to condition my hair regularly when I wear this style—I can experience a lot of breakage with a style like this.

I must say, I’m loving the simple styles that I’ve been spotting so far this fall. When I’m at work, I don’t want to be fixing my hair constantly, so this low-maintenance low bun would be a great style for those days at work. I’d wear it with a matte red lipstick and a collared shirt.
I always want to try something a little crazy with my hair, but it’s too dark to risk bleaching it and I can’t bear to cut it. Something fun (and a little temporary) like this mohawk braid may just be the perfect thing. This would be perfect for a simple fall outfit, like toothpick jeans and a chunky sweater. Something simple and classic would work best when paired with this edgier style.
I love the idea of adding an embellishment to a simple style like this one. I’ve seen tons of velvet hair accessories and delicate, geometric pins that would look great with a style like this. Also, with a style this high, you’ll probably want something that can keep your hair in place and prevent slipping, so an extra wrap is a good idea.
Will you be trying any new styles this fall? Which one is your favorite?
