I’m pretty adventurous with my style, but makeup is a different story. My makeup for a night out has remained the same for a while now—I stick with a versatile look that works with whatever I’m wearing. I keep it simple and avoid using too much, sticking to the idea of ‘less is more’. I have my handful of trusty go-to picks—and by not overusing them, I have mastered my makeup for a night out!

I always start with my eyes first. When I go out, I like to make them the most dramatic. A smokey eye palette like Too Faced Smokey Eye Shadow Collection always manages to make my blue eyes pop. I use Smashbox Definer Brush #15 for the crease, and Laura Mercier Eye Colour Brush for my eyelids. Then I apply Sephora Collection Color Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black along the edge of my upper and lower eyelids, making sure to apply a little more at the creases. My eyelashes are hard to curl, so I started using Maybelline Volum’ Express: The Big Eyes Washable Mascara in Brownish Black. There is a two-in-one brush for the lower and upper lashes—the lower separates your eyelashes and reduces clumps, and the upper creates a great curve from the inner to outer lashes.
