"America's Next Top Model" All-Star Cast Announced and It's Going to Be Awesome
I am a die-hard America's Next Top Model fan. It's one of my favorite shows and I love watching the marathons (did you know that they're on Bravo every Friday?), so you can imagine my elation when I discovered that the 17th cycle was going to be an All-Star season, which will premiere September 14th. The cast features 14 familiar faces from the ANTM family.
Shannon Stewart, Cycle 1. While she was the runner-up, Shannon is remembered more for her devout Christian beliefs, which caused her to decline participating in a nude shoot.
Camille McDonald, Cycle 2 (Milan). Like many contestants to come, Camille's photos were praised. Her personality, however, was not.
Brittany Brower, Cycle 4 (South Africa). Brittany was a wild child with a gorgeous face. She infamously screamed at fellow cast mate, Keenyah, "Shut uppppp!"
Bre Scullark, Cycle 5 (London). "Who stole my granola bar?!"
Lisa D'Amto, Cycle 5 (London). Lisa was the obvious villain of her cycle. She often annoyed the other models with her weird antics, like her infamous "Calm down. Eat a cookie," video.
Bianca Golden, Cycle 9 (China). Bianca didn't have very many notable moments, other than having her head shaved during the makeovers. She was given a blonde wig, as well, but it was never used.
Dominque Reighard, Cycle 10 (Rome). Dominique was often criticized for looking like an "old tranny." We'll see how that goes this time around.
Sheena Sakai, Cycle 11 (Amsterdam). Sheena didn't make it very far in the competition and came in sixth place. What is she remembered for? Sheena couldn't seem to turn off the sex-appeal in her photos.
Isis King, Cycle 11 (Amsterdam). Isis was the first, and only, transgender model to compete on ANTM.
Allison Harvard, Cycle 12 (Brazil). This doe-eyed beauty is one of my favorite contestants of all time. She was the runner-up for her cycle, though I say should have won.
Laura Kirkpatrick, Cycle 13 (Hawaii). Laura was the cute, small town sweetheart from the petite cycle. Not only was her personality fun to watch, but so were her photos. Laura came in second place.
Angelea Preston, Cycle 14 (New Zealand). Angelea caused trouble from day one on cycle 14, all while claiming that it was because she was from Buffalo, NY.
Kayla Ferrel, Cycle 15 (Venic, then Milan). You may not recognize Kayla here. She arrived at casting with long blonde hair, which was then dyed red and cut short. She went on to finish in third/fourth place in a double elimination in ANTM's first Italian Vogue cycle.
Alexandria Everett, Cycle 16 (Morocco). Alexandria is from the latest season of Top Model. She was hated by all of her fellow cast mates for her diva behavior and tendency to take over photoshoots.
I'm very excited by this list. The only disappointment I have is that it looks like they brought back a lot of the girls because they caused drama, not for their talent. Only three of the girls were runner-ups for their cycle. But, hey, that's what makes good TV. It will be interesting to see what challenges Tyra comes up with, who will go from villain to favorite, and if they'll all get makeovers again.

Yeah, I agree... just when I thought that would be the last time I'd see Alexandria. Should be an interesting season though.

Top Model is a show that I would watch because there was nothing else on. However, this is almost enough of a train-wreck that I would spare a few braincells to watch it.

I wish they would have brought Kahlen (I don't remember how to spell it) from cycle 4. She was amazing and by far my favorite.

In God's name, not Alexandria! I hope Tyra won't mind that bossy chick trying to steal her job and I hope the rest of the girls would like to have a mom while in the house. I wouldn't put up with her.
I used to love this! I watched up until season 7ish so I recognize the girls from that season and prior to it. This should be good, maybe I'll get back into it!
I hate Alexandria! But the cast was announced a while ago. There's even footage of the first judging on Youtube since it was done live.
You know who would be great to add to this? Jade, the biracial butterfly.
I'm excited for Brittany and Allison. I was so mad when Brittany went home her season I felt like she was better that a couple of girls that were left. So excited that my two favorite girls from all the seasons are going to be back.

I remember a few of these girls, but it looks like CW is just setting this up to be a villain vs villain show. Between Bre, Alexandria, Lisa and Bianca (whos personality I can't remember but I feel like she had some outbursts) it's just going to be another drama hour without any fashion worth.
Also, I'm calling it right now: Allison FTW.
