The Perfect Heels for a Short Girl Like Me
It is no secret to anyone that I am "vertically challenged." I am only 5'1" (and a half), but I have never really minded being shorter than all of my friends, and I love the freedom my height gives me when it comes to wearing heels. Since I live in New York City and do so much walking, I need heels to be comfortable to walk in! I'm talking about walking blocks, not just around tooling around the shoe department.
Now that it is summertime, I am especially loving the look of wedges. One problem I have been finding with wedges, though, is that they can be really heavy, which is why I was so excited when I came across a pair at Bloomingdale's that looked just as good as all of the others, but weighed a lot less.
DV by Dolce Vita's Pila Wedge were exactly what I have been looking for. They are light weight, comfortable, come in four neutral colors and are even priced well! If you are looking for a statement shoe but don't want to carry around all of the extra weight, I would definitely suggest these!

Eh, I can't wear heels. My arches are too high so even flats are even kind of uncomfortable on my feet. I wish being barefoot 24/7 was more acceptable.
I think those strapy thing-a-ma-jigs wouls end up making me look shorter since they cut off at the ankle, but I'm fine being and looking short.
Five feet solid and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those! If you like it, go for it. Don't let our opinions on them stop you. I just would rather rock some stilettos and have sore feet than wear those. :P
UGLY. & I'm sorry but since when is $85.50 "priced well?"
I'm 5 ft, don't those make your legs look way shorter? I only wear heels or wedges that have an open front so my legs look longer and I'm taller :)

I'm only 5' even but I never wear heels. I might try a pair of wedges this summer though. I think they look cute with cropped pants.
i don't understand why people think shorties shouldn't wear heels. i am only 5'3" and i rock any pair of heels with confidence! fuck what everyone thinks.
Those heels are not age appropriate; they look like something someone in their fifties would wear.
I have the EXACT same pair, only they're from Spring and were $50.
I'm fairly tall but I love them. So comfortable and easy to walk in.
I'm sorry to say but you were ripped off. The same pair were sold at Target for the "Dolce Vita for Target" line....$30.

I think this pair would actually make you look shorter...
