Kate Middleton's "Meet the Obamas" Dress Sells Out in Stores
The beige Reiss beige Shola bandage dress that Kate Middleton wore this weekend to meet Barack and Michelle Obama, sold out just hours after the photos spread around the Internet.
The frenzy for the $340 dress caused Reiss' website to crash twice, as servers were inundated with women trying to buy the dress. It's now sold out online and in the US. [HuffPost]

It's a nice dress (not my favorite color), but I really don't understand people. What do they think is going to become of them just because they buy the dress someone else wears?
I guess I get it. She's known for buying rather affordable outfits (as in not a $3,000 dress), and still looks amazing. Although she's so gorgeous, it's not really a fair idea of how the dress would look on me, haha. Still, it's a cute dress!
I don't like the color. I wouldn't buy it because it wouldn't flatter my figure, but it looks good on her.
Why do people rush to have an outfit just like a celeb?

Yeah, it looks great on her but it probably won't on me. I don't have her same figure. The color is kind of ugly too.
@Hinase@xanga - I have some curves so this dress would definitely not fit my shape either. Looks good on her slender narrow self.

her dress is nice but boring. I like michelle's girly outfit with the brocade swing dress and pink shrug. it is like michelle dresses younger than kate. $340 is still expensive. $50 is the max I'd pay for a casual dress.
People only bought that dress so they could feel more like Kate Middleton.

I think it's ridiculous that women rush out to buy clothes worn by celebrities. -__- I used to want to do that too, but that was when I was 13.
Why wouldn't people want to buy it? The dress is purdy.
