  • 6 Celebrities Who Rocked Their Baby Bumps with Maxi Dresses (and 3 Who Didn't!)

Before her baby bump, will she be wearing more maxi dresses now that she's pregnant?

We're hoping to add lovely (and preggo) Miranda Kerr to this list! Let's face it, when you're pregnant, the last thing you'd want to wear are pants! Pants can be restricting, inconvenient, and unflattering with an enormous belly as it is!

So, what's a gal to do? Let's turn to the oh-so-trendy Maxi dress! Maxi dresses aren't only for thin, tall people anymore.

We can learn a thing or two from these six celebrities who rocked the maxi (and the three who didn't!) during their pregnancy stage, proving that everybody can wear maxi dresses - you just need to choose the one that suits your body.

    1. Angelina Jolie
Every time she walks with her beau, Brad Pitt, it doesn't even matter what she's wearing - she still looks glamorous! But, seriously, she looked elegant in that Nicole Miller stained dress while being pregnant with twins. Wearing strapless maxis can be hard to pull, but as long as you choose something that is heart or v-shaped, it can look good.

    2. Heidi Klum
Heidi looks quite comfortable in her beige maxi dress while taking her daughter out. The fabric is a good choice as it doesn't cling onto every part of the body.

    2. Jessica Alba
She showed up in style during a Nickelodeon's Kid Choice Awards wearing a lovely green maxi dress that accentuated her breast and belly! She definitely had something to smile about that night. Choosing ruffles can make your body look even more feminine with the added belly!

    3. Alicia Keys
Alicia looked pretty glamorous in an elegant white maxi dress a couple months ago at the BET awards. The white looks good on her skintone, and the draping near the gold embellished collar makes it look less like a bed sheet! Good look!

    4. Jennifer Garner
Not only did Jennifer did the right thing by marrying Ben Affleck, she also chose the right print dress for her second pregnancy. Floral prints (and other prints as well) almost creates the illusion that you're not even pregnant. The prints on the dress dress can draw the attention away from the baby bump (if that is what you want, of course).

    5. Gwen Stefani
So far, all the maxi dresses that were shown were sleeveless, but let's not forget that there are maxi dresses with sleeves, and they can look great! Take Gwen for example, she looks chic while wearing a short sleeve maxi. If you like the long or don't want to show them, you can always wear a maxi dress with sleeves.

    6. Nicole Richie
Oh, she is definitely the Queen of Maxis - it doesn't matter if she's pregnant, not pregnant, if it's cold/hot, she is seen wearing the maxi dress everywhere she goes. Without revealing much, the straps on this dress provides good definition of her upper body and hold of the dress.

And Who Didn't Rock the Baby Bump?

    1. Heidi Klum
Although she looks good in most photos, let's stay away from maxi dresses that are very restricting like the one she's wearing here. This also proves that wearing black may not always be flattering.

    2. Tori Spelling
Do you recognize the dress that Tori's wearing? Yep, it's been worn by Jessica Alba, too! But we gotta say, even without the comparison to the gorgeous beauty, there's something off about that dress on Tori. Maybe the straps are too long or maybe it's not even the dress that's the problem - she tends to slouch!

    3. Ashlee Simpson
Although she wore a maxi dress with sleeves to cover her arms, she should have used that arm fabric to cover her boobs! We know that women tend to gain some extra "weight" up there when you're pregnant, but you can show them off better than this!

Which ones were your favorites, and which ones were just total failures?
