The No Pants Situation
And every curve, line, bump, or whatever is visible to EVERYBODY. I'm not dissing leggings because I own my fair share...but sometimes I don't want to see so much of someone else's body. At the bare minimum, I think the length of the shirt should cover the bum area.
So a friend of mine and I were recently talking about the big trend of the year: wearing no pants. At our University, there were tons of girls walking around with regular shirts and leggings. Leggings are great to wear with longer shirts, dresses, shorts, skirts, etc. But I think there is a limit to what should be acceptable in public.
I mean, it can't be good if I can see your underwear through the leggings.
So my friend thought it was funny to put up a website of pictures of pants-less people at our University. It has actually gotten quite famous and people are sending in pictures of pants-less people every day! You can check it out at uiucnopants.com if you're interested. This epidemic has to stop! Even clothing manufacturers are warning customers that pants should not be replaced by tights and leggings. Now, my friend is blurring out everyone's faces of course. But she also adds some funny commentary with each picture so the site is pretty entertaining.
What do you think of leggings/tights replacing pants? Is it a fashion do or fashion don't?

Pants are pant, leggings are leggings, why don't girls understand this? I put few pounds, so my jeans don't fit, I am pretty much in my leggings 24/7, however all my shirts cover my bum, && the once that don't, thank god for boyfriend blazers, and boyfriend cardis.

leggings and tights are not the same thing. Notice the picture with the warning says tights. I do think that some people forget that just because you can squeeze into a XS/S pair of leggings doesn't mean that they are your size and you get the effect that you see on banana girl above.
so many people do it, but for me I prefer to have something that at least covers my butt. tights and leggings are both too tight for my liking anyhow, usually

Also I have noticed that in every single one of these posts its always the girls who wear the leggings as pants who vote yay to it.
Well girls who wear tights as pants, I am sorry you have no true friends, because a true friend would tell you TO PUT SOMETHING OVER THOSE LEGGINGS! I can guarantee you would not be saying "if they have the body let them wear them" or "Don't like it don't look" if you saw a 10 year old sporting this look. If you really wanna show off that much then just put back on your mini skirt. Do NOT try to switch your pants for your tights. I love my tights, and I wear them religiously. But what I pair them with covers my front and back sides. This is the way they were designed to be worn.

I don't like to wear pants too often. I like short dresses, leggings, and thigh-highs--not always at the same time. To me, these articles of clothing look and feel more appropriate. Big fucking deal. I am my body's own harshest critic, I know what does and does not look good on me, and I promise I am not subjecting anybody to panty lines or lumps. If you don't like it, shut your conservative eyes.
it doesn't bother me, because the people ive seen that wear it have looked really good doing so. Also i cant see how this is any different from the people who wear yoga style pant, they grip the ass in the same way yet its not thought of a "situation"
