  • My Perfect Night In!

Some weekends, when I'm feeling kind of under the weather, I like to take a night to myself, relax, and forget all of the world's complications for a few hours. I have a pretty simple, stress-free routine that works everytime. Feel free to try it out!

    1. Read a book: Taking a piece of literature you're interested and just getting lost in it is a wonderful was to set your mind free & relax. Taking your mind into another character's life always helps me take my mind away from mine, if it's complicated at the time.

    2. Bubble baths: My absolute favourite way to relax. Hot water plus an amazing brand of bubble bath instantly relaxes all of your muscles, and your mind.

What I Use: Ombra Spa Aromatic Foambath in Citrus Sage.
It smells so good, and it's "aromatic," which helps relax you even more. It's reasonably priced too, and widely available. I recommend it to all avid bubble-bath users.

    3. Paint your nails: Taking your focus and putting it on something that requires only mild concentrationis also very good in the act of stress-relieving. Not to mention your nails look cute afterwards!

What I Use: Revlon Nail Enamel in Steel Her Heart. It's a pretty dark, metallic gray shade that goes with a multitute of outfits, and that goes on really easily and dries really smooth.

    4. Listen to music: Plugging your earphones in for a long session of relaxation with your favourite music is a great way to personalize your relaxation. Whether it's soothing, calming melodies or upbeat, poppy songs, you're sure to be relaxed. I recommend anything by Maroon 5, Plumb, OneRepublic, or Adele.

    5. Watch a good movie: Good movies in a pair of sweatpants or PJ's with a hot cup of tea are always a comfortable way to spend your night alone. Whether it's one you've seen, or one you've been dying to see, any movie is a good pick. I watched The Devil Wears Prada tonight, and I loved it. All you need to complete this is a good snack, a blankie, fuzzy slippers, and your phone/laptop far, far away so it is incapable of distracting/interruption your relaxation night.

    6. Sleep! The only way to completely relax your soul, mind, and body is to get a good night's rest. So, crawl into bed in your coziest jammies, teddy, and even some low, soothing music, and you'll be set for the night!

What techniques do you use to relax yourself? Happy relaxing!
