Ed Hardy...tanned...check and check! One nightclub wants nothing to do with the guido style now most famously seen on MTV's "Jersey Shore"
Republic Nightclub in New Orleans does not want any wannabe guido or guidettes going to their club. They have added a new dress code policy stating: “If It’s On The Jersey Shore, It’s Not Coming Through The Door: No Affliction, No Ed Hardy, No Christian Audigier, No Exceptions”.
Considering those brands are becoming incredibly passe, I doubt anyone will attempt to break the new rules.
However, are these brands associated with so much gel and tanning that it's bad for business?
Do you agree with the no-guido clothing dress code?

I dont watch that show but it's not fair to say EVERYONE who wears Ed Hardy or other brands is associated with it or Jon Gosselin. Douches just happen to be wearing it at the time. It may make the brand unpopular to some but to target a specific brand of clothing in a nightclub isnt fair.
I still have a couple of Ed Hardy teeshirts and Affliction hoodies from way back when, you know, before Jon Goselin and Jersey Shore ruined it.
I think a dress code is stupid. It's a fucking club, not an office.
Haha I love Ed Hardy and Affliction so SUCK IT!!
I give this a thumbs-up! I hate the whole superficiality of that show and the style.
that's hilarious
Good.
I hate that show and the way they ruined these brands. I've loved Ed Hardy for years, because it reminds me of tattoos (which I love) and because I love anything with skulls. Not because the stupid Jersey Shore people wear it. That's dumb. I don't think Ed Hardy was designed to be "Guido"
that's hysterical!
that's funny..
@FIREExATxWILL@xanga - Dress codes are fantastic, especially at places like clubs and lounges. Do you really want to be all dressed up in a place where people look like they just walked in off the street? If you are going out for the night it is almost expected that you will look your best. Nothing wrong with that. Its nice when everyone is dressed up to whatever the required dress code is. And MOST if not ALL clubs have dress codes; they usually say no hats, no sneakers/tennis shoes, nothing with rips, no jeans.
And I'm sure if it looked classy, with a blazer or something they wouldn't have a huge problem. Its just the Jersey Shore folk look so trashy!
i love ed hardy. wtf. jon gosselin ruins everything!
This cracks me up.
Hahaha, this is funny. But New Jersey officials are really upset with the show and how they portray their state so maybe others feel that way too?
Hahahahahahaha
Thank goodness! I was beginning to wonder when trashy was going to be kicked out. Plus, the "art" of the designs isn't even passable to be printed on toilet paper. Hardly worthy to be called art to begin with.
Honestly, what happened to actual dress codes? I want to see men in some clean suits and some ladies looking classy for once. I'm not saying be stuffy but c'mon. Classy vs. Trashy.
BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA. win!
How fucking immature. Pfft they just wanted something to rhyme with "door". That's the best they could come up with.
It made me laugh though :D
I personally think it's hilarious... And if losing these clothing articles upset you enough to not go to the club - Then they probably don't want you there in the first place, so it's working.
Either for personal reasons, or because it may have been causing problems, the owners of this club felt the need to instate this dress code. It's been done before with wife beaters and bandannas, and I'm sure it'll happen again with some new D-bag trend.
Funny thing about business owners - They have the right to refuse service. Don't fault them for using it.
rofl.
That's just dumb. Seriously?!
Yes...
We can all be rid of that douche wear...
WIN !
I have no idea what guido is and I don't watch MTV.
I think Ed Hardy clothes are cool, I like the designs on them, dun't really give a rat's ass who else wears 'em.
Haha, that's kind of funny. I don't know. I think they dress right for clubs... A little skankish sometimes, but still right, lol.
yes! that's awesome!
