The Real Story Behind Noah Cyrus's "Lingerie" Line
Ah, isn't it great when things get blown out of proportion by the media, and everyone and their brother actually BELIEVES everything?
I recently read one of the top posts talking about a so called "lingerie" line "launched" by Noah Cyrus.
"What? Really? That's absurd!"
Those were my first thoughts. So, I did a little bit more research. What I found was NOT mentioned by the blog I referred to above. In reality:
1) Launching a line is different from modeling for a line. Just because Noah is the new face of this so called "lingerie" line, does not mean it's hers. It was actually started in 2004. I don't think she started it when she was four years old...
2) I don't know who put the tag of "lingerie" on these articles of clothing, but besides being sleeveless, it's not anything revealing, or different than what other little girls wear. They sell dresses, long sleeved sweaters, and colorful leggings. Not frilly bras, corsets, or see-through thongs.
3) Just an FYI, Noah actually just turned ten, she's not nine. Though I do recognize both those ages are still young, how can we trust information from someone who can't get her age right?
Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm tired of adults bashing young celebrities like Noah, Miley, and Taylor Momsen. From what I can see, they're no different than an other teenager, besides the fact they're on TV! I didn't know the criteria for being on television is you have to be a prude goody two shoes your entire life. I don't think I could handle the pressure of fame, and I don't get why it's any of our business.
NO ONE is the perfect role model. But unlike the celebrities, we can hide it from the small impressionable minds around us. If Miley wears some skimpy clothing, whatever, she's like any other 16 year old. It's the media's fault for putting it on the front of every magazine for children to see.
Does anyone else agree? Isn't it the media's fault for making a mountain out of a molehill? Are the parents to blame for trying to let their celebrity children grow up normally?

That's cool of you to really do the research. I just ignored that blog all together. I think it's not surprising for the media to take something and twist it. Happens all the time.
AMEN!
miley is SEVENTEEN , hun . big fat FAIL .
i get what you're trying to say, but at the same time many of the things these young "stars" are doing are NOT normal, it's downright messed up.
& I'm of the opinion that the best parents don't let their children become childhood stars in the first place. those parents are normally doing it so they can hopefully reap some fame and $ for their childrens' souls.
Will you be my new best friend? :)
I try really hard not to pay attention to ANY celebrity gossip/ trash talk stuff. It may be interestingg, but what do I know about the celeb, right? Especially Miley.
@nylondare@xanga - LOL!! Beat me to it
I don't see why people expect teen celebrities to be models for their children. Minors cannot, and should not be role models to other minors. Also, it's not like teen celebrities "signed up" or agreed to be role models, it just happened.
About time someone get the facts right around here.
I'm so happy you wrote this, this is exactly what I think. I wish someone would give these girls a break. x
@nylondare@xanga - beat me to it!
whoaaa!
sorry about the age thing, but thanks for ignoring my ENTIRE post Noah, which was the main point of the post.
At least I can accept that I've made a mistake. I guess no one is allowed to make mistakes anymore? I personally do not follow any celebs, including Miley, hence why I don't know her age. But it's obvious you do, thanks for the correctiong. :]
@ccarothers@xanga - I second your comment. Just thank God it wasn't what we thought it was.
oh shit, i meant correction*
great, two mistakes in one day? hell, i'm totally having a horrible day!
@Demolitiongurl88@xanga - i think you meant live your LIFE, not live your LIVE.
:]
ugh. none of this celebrity shit really matters. who gives a flying fuck what some 9 (oops, sorry, 10!) year old is doing? they're annoying at that age anyway.
i do, however, like looking at pretty clothing. let's get back to that, shall we?
Still...the fishnets...that's a no-no for me.
her mom is a whore, her sister is a whore and now she's going to continue the legacy.
Oh, Lawdy. The irony in this entry (pointed out by the faithful readers in the comments section) is almost as funny as the original post!
Ok, I lie. It's funnier! :)
10 year olds in French Maid outfits and fishnet stockings... Pedophiles rejoice.
Her parents need to be bitch-slapped.
@Demolitiongurl88@xanga - just trying to make a point that we all make mistakes. you, me, every celebrity.
but when you make a mistake making it seem like a little girl is this trashy lingerie wearing slut? i just don't think she needs to be falsely represented that way.
I think she's cute. She reminds me a LOT of my 9 year old neighbor, and I'm sure my neighbor would adore the dresses Noah is going to model. But I'd be completely and utterly horrified if someone called my neighbor "trashy" or something of the sort.
whether they choose to be a role model is not their choice at all, being a celebrity, a star of the most popular kids show right now automatically warrants it, lets not turn a blind eye to that
&& the thing about research.. in this article many facts were laid down but no citation oreven a mention of the company's name
Heh, being young is not an excuse for being stupid.
@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - trufax.
and just fyi, this little slice of evil had a lot more fun laughing at the lingerie post... XD
Amen. I mean, ive been young once, ive made all sorts of stupid mistakes, fortunately, it was not announced to the whole world. But celebs, whenever they make one teeny tiny mistake, its announced all over the world. Its sad really.
