What's an Almost-A Cup Girl to Do?
I've always had an issue finding the perfect bra for myself - A cups that I can actually fill often make my chest look embarrassingly flat (oh the joys of being Asian), so I often find myself wearing bras that make me look as if I have a chest when in reality there's much too much air between me and my bra cup. I've tried shopping at department stores for bras that make you look one size bigger, but I find that they make my chest look extremely hard and unnaturally perky and pointy.
Do any of you girls have suggestions as to where I can find a bra that I can fill that makes my chest look bigger and/or give me cleavage, but not to the point where I look like I've gotten implants? Also, are there certain gel inserts that make you look natural, and where is it possible to buy them?

that new vs bra says it'll increase your size by two cups...
you could always embrace your flatness.
They were pretty cheap, like 14 bucks, and they look really natural! I think they're hilarious, too. They actually feel like boobs too and they're pretty comfortable to wear, very soft and cushiony. I rarely wear them but some days I do just for giggles. I've got a small chest, and they don't make me look huge or anything, they just fill out bras better than my boobs do naturally.
I am also an A cup. I just recently discovered the amazingness of the Emma bra from Aerie. It adds a cup size and really works! I'd recommend it to anyone who has a small chest.
the boobage is something that will come naturally. I think its something that you should embrace as@Rachies_Icons@xanga says. Dont be so consumed with making them look bigger because then you are not being true to yourself. Love yourself the way that you are and then it wont matter if you're an A cup or a C cup. Love your boobies.
i feeeel you~. but victoria's secret very sexy bras have padding that's very natural. its all gel padding and its set at the bottom of the cup so it doesn't look liek a sudden lump on your chest. haha.
There's the new Victoria's Secret bra that gives you TWO cup sizes. It's $50, but that's standard for VS. My best friend's an A cup, but she felt it looked too fake (implant like) on her.
I have the same issue (Damn Asianness!)
I'm an A cup or a "barely there B"-cup. Underwire and gel padding / soft cups are my best friend... :)
i have a very small chest and aerie usually has bras that fit me :]
also, aerie has bras that can help fill you out a bit more
the store is more teenage to young adult friendly and the cost is okay. when on sale it can be as low as $10/bra
@bluebelles80@xanga - I don't think she's not embracing it; I'm in a similar boat with her so I know what she's talking about with those small A-Cup bras.. they don't even usually have padding so you can see EVERYTHING....who wants to see all that on a cold day! The ones that are usually very small but cover the nips at least fit super awkwardly either they're rounded at a weird angel in order to fit properly or, as mentioned, too big... it seems that there are hardly ANY bras that are good for us.. they all look awkward...
Just point out since I'm fine with my size but I'm not fine with just hanging out there or looking super unnatural... sigh
I want to go to the Hello Kitty bra store....
hit the gym
the bench press is great for the chest area
when I used to bench I was actually a A cup
I haven't benched in over 6months and I'm back down to a sub-A cup
....I should hit the bench press this week
Hey, hey, hey! I'm Asian... but I have big boobs.
There are gel inserts, but I don't know where you can find them. If I was that small, I would embrace it and wear clothes with deep v necks, and a lot of strapless dresses. Embrace it :)
U know, I wished I had smaller boobs cause it's always hard to find a bra, thinking smaller boobed people had it easier. I was wrong hehe.. I think small boobed people look great too. Think Taylor Swift and Paris Hilton :)
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - lol your first sentence could be misconstrued in a sexual way. which i did. oops. :P
you could try shopping in the kids department :P
go to Victoria s secret and they will mesure you and get you a bra that helps for free, even though its a splurge or go to target they have sooo many diff types of bras for diff situations and are very cheap a last a decent amount of time
@trish - yeah, i tried it on too. VERY implant like. that damn bra is like a pillow.
i have the same issue. only i'm a little bit bigger than an A.
i find that all padded bras make my chest look totally fake. i stopped caring about it. there are lots of styles that look great on flatter chested women, but make women with boobs look like skanks =D
i love VS bras. they're my favorite.
@lyssagotpaid@xanga - wait, why would you wear strapless dresses? they would just fall down and look awkward o.o but the v-necks, i understand.
i have a push up bra from gap and i like it. they have a little padding underneath & boost up my boobs more, so they're good. nothing dramatic, though. just a bit of cleavage.
@ilikemynamealso@xanga - i've been meaning to try that! i use the sasha bra from aerie, and it is decent. but i need more padding
Dude, you must be of average height. Go for one of thos Aerie bras they speak of. I'm really short, so my torso is too small for those bras. I tried it on, and the cups just made my chest area look like it's been adorned with holy-water stoups. hahaha... So I just wear tear drop shaped, poofy-cupped bras to look like I have a somewhat bigger A cup, and sometimes I just wear a fitted bra and let everyone know I'm flat chested. I don't give a hoot anymore.
i got inserts at walmart as well and wore them with my prom dress! my boobs looked wonderful! AND i have tiny ones.
