Uggs Plus Shorts Equals FAIL

On my school's campus (which shall remain nameless), there seems to be a trend that I personally find a little, um, stupid.
I don't mind when girls wear Ugg boots (actually, I'm lying, I HATE Ugg boots), but when girls wear them with shorts? I don't understand this trend. If you are wearing WINTER shoes, why are you wearing shorts with them?
It may sound like I'm ranting, but the aspect of it that bothers me the most is when girls wear a sweatshirt, or coat, with Ugg boots...and shorts..in 20 degree weather.
Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
Do you do this? Or are the girls in my school complete idiots?

i actually find that to be quite comfortable haha
but usually i'll wear it around the house (uggs as slippers).
or if its like, fall or winter but semi warm. i dont want to look like a tool and wear flip flops in the middle of winter, no matter how warm. you know?
so yeah. haha
This is a HUGE fail.
I don't wear Uggs because I find them to be hideous.
No, you're right. That's ridiculous.
haha i just saw a girl on my campus doing this, and i just stared.. it makes no sense.
Uggs are ugly. End of story!
I think uggs are cute when worn right bt most ppl dont pull them off bc your supposed to wear them with skinny jeans and people dont do that so they have their jeans stuffed inside the little boot it looks hideous and i agree that girls shouldnt be wearing them w/ shorts in 20 degree weather that is stupid and js like attention seeking but i have worn them w/ shorts to like parties in the summer and stuff bt its dumb for the winter.
i wear that B] shorts + uggs ... plus tights. :]]]
i've often wondered about this too. i fail to understand the logic behind it.
actually i saw someone wearing shorts and uggs in the summer. wouldn't your feet get really hot?Haha, I do it. But it's summer. And I don't care.
Uggs = Fail
End of story.
I think it looks kind of stupid, although I can somewhat understand where these girls might be coming from: perhaps they get cold everywhere except their legs, so this strange outfit is the most comfortable? I'm like that myself, although still, I wouldn't dress that way.
I dont understand the trend either. If you're going to wear uggs, don't you want to wear them to be warm? So what is the point of wearing them with shorts?
I've seen some cute pairs with buckles and straps and what not, but I would never wear them with shorts, and probably wouldn't wear them any other season other than winter.
i don't understand uggs in the first place, so anything to do with them is ridiculous.
definitely not with shorts.
at least here it's plausible and warm enough in the wiinter to wear flip-flops year round....
depends where you live. I live in california, so you can wear wear a tshirt and jeans and flip flops while its raining and not get cold.
I do that:)
mostly b/c I'm too lazy to change from my shorts after a run with my team at school since I'm off to do another run at home anyways so I tug on my uggs and wear them with shorts
I do that at xc meets too b/c they keep my legs warm without me having to struggle in and out of my warmup tights
@xo_starvingforthin@xanga - run on sentences, ftw!
ROFL but eskimoz is sexay
@goblinsinthemirror@xanga - that hurt my eyes
Uggs are just ugly. I don't care if you're wearing shorts, jeans, capris, a skirt or a formal dress. They're ugly. With shorts, however, they reach a new height of ugly... Perhaps the ugly that is found only when one dresses in complete darkness.
uggs are not ugly but a wrong outfit makes them ugly...you have to know how to wear such things
first i wasn't too content about them but i got to buy a pair and i figured out that they're really comfy and warm
preconceived ideas suck!
In 20 degree weather? Yeah that's dumb. I wear shorts with my knee high suede boots cuz it's a moderately cool temperature, so too hot for jeans but fine for boots to cover my feet.
In would be comfortable and more acceptable if it wasn't so cold, actually.
I think it looks kinda of cute together.
