Kate Moss is in Deep S#%@
The web is buzzing with the latest controversy surrounding supermodel Kate Moss. The famous beauty told Women's Wear Daily when asked for her words to live by, "'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'....that's one."
Uh oh. Moss's words were immediately criticized by many but embraced by the pro-anorexia community. Storm, Kate's modeling agency, rushed to explain that her words were taken out of context, and pointed out that Kate added right after the motto, "You try to remember but it never works." But the interview has already tramped up a battle between both her defenders and her critics on the Internet.
Do you think Kate was wrong to say this, when she knows that millions of girls look up to her?

She can say what she wants, girls are exposed to the message through ads and the media anyways.
Eating disorders occur without spoken word, why fret on this if we allow models to be so unhealthily thin?
I think what happened was that something slipped out, and now she's facing the consequences for not thinking about what she said.

I don't even know who Kate moss is...
It's not her responsibilty to be a roll model. She can say whatever she wants. If young girls look up to her, then that's their choice. She has the right to live her life the way she wants. She shouldn't have to sensor everything she says just because some girls strive to be like her.
Girls who look up to her? What the hell does she do that makes girls look up to her?
I feel like the only ones who look up to her are those who want to be skinny. I can't think of anyone else.
As if everyone didn't already know that Kate Moss starves herself and does drugs to stay thin?
i think people should stop sucking celebs off in general because it does not get you money or pays your bills
I don't know anyone who looks up to Kate Moss. Regardless, check out the thinspo community on Xanga - there's a lot worse stuff there. Whatever she says has already been done, as goes for any other celebrity. Who cares?

and anyways, it's Kate Moss of all people. I could care less.
I think her being a coked out anorexic model has more of an impact than her simply stating something anorexic and non-anorexic girls already say. But it is the truth. Nothing feels as good as being thin. That doesn't mean you have to be anorexic to get there. "skinny" is different for different people.
If this is news, then a lot of people have been missing out. *shrugs*
Any person that worships Kate moss has problems and needs to be checked.
This makes me sick. Ugh...yes, I think it's wrong. She's completely ignorant of what girls deal with who are not a size 1. I don't know if she's naturally thin or has to work at it, but either way, it's very insensitive. It scares me to think of a person reading that, young or old, and thinking that it makes sense....yuck.

Obsession with being thin is hardly a new concept so I don't understand why people are going apeshit over this. And if you're dumb enough to make a lifestyle change because of one sentence uttered by a celebrity.....nothing can help you.

I have trouble seeing how that quote can be taken to mean anything but "Being skinny is more important than anything."
