2 Things Girls Need to Stop Doing in the Bathroom

Ok, allow me to preface this by acknowledging that I am by no means perfect, but I do have a very good idea of what is hygenic and proper. Mind, this mini-list isn't directed at all the ladies, but if you browse and recognize any of these nasty habits, consider amending them! It will remain between us girls, I promise!

    1. Stop using the restroom to hold your important phone calls - why is this gross? Well, because I am not sure if there was something lost in translation, but the restroom is not a conference room. People go there with a purpose and nothing makes me want to gag more than seeing someone waltz in phone in hand, handle their business, and frolic on out the door without skipping a beat! *extra gross points if you don't wash your hands, or at least sanitize your phone regularly.

    2. If it contains bodily fluids/waste, wrap it before disposal - Ok waitress horror story time! One of my closing duties was cleaning the restrooms at my prior job at a chinese restaurant. I always assumed that the guys' restroom would be the nastiest of the two, and more nightmarish to clean hands-down...BOY WAS I WRONG! Ladies...if it is that time of the month, be discrete! Wrap your disposables, don't just leave them face-up for everyone and their mother to see! I mean, I know every gal gets a visitor, but really?

So there's my list, short and sweet! (at least I tried to be sweet, sorry if I offended someone accidentally anyway) Are you guilty of any of these? Do you know of any more things that some ladies need brought to their attention?

I have to agree with both :)

I find that women washrooms are just disgusting, you go into a stall and it's either not flushed or there is piss all over the seat. makes my skin crawl..especially at a bar women get even more gross. you would think men wouldn't care about a clean bathroom, but it is women all the way..

  • AimeeFrying@xanga

Wow. I totally agree. Especially #2, sometimes at school, id just find USED pads stuck to the washroom stall door! I mean.. seriously.

  • KimisBarbie@xanga

when big groups of girls all go to the bathroom at once, and only 1 has to pee.
I've never understood why it's impossible for girls to go to the bathroom alone.

  • cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga

I agree. #2... ugh. My school bathrooms are disgusting because girls don't know shit about how to dispose of their pads and tampons.

  • goblinsinthemirror@xanga

you know what really annoys me about girls in the bathrooms?

    HOGGING THE MIRRORS.

and for some reason, the mirrors are always by the door or by the sinks or in front of the stalls, making the bathroom inaccessible.

It's not so bad if it's one or two girls, but sometimes a group of 6 or 7 will be in front of the mirror, and it's really annoying. and they usually take about 5 minutes to just stare at themselves.

that really annoyed me about high school. in college, it doesn't seem to be so bad.

  • makerm7@xanga

yes!  I HATE it when people talk on the phone!  I always feel awkward about going to the bathroom with them in the next stall...

  • Imp_is_lurking@xanga

Don't leave your used tampons in lockers at the gym! *barfs*

  • soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga

i HATE it when girls go to the bathroom in big groups. it's just stupid, are we gonna talk while i pee? no thanks.

once, in my gym class, this girl asked her friends to come into the stall with her. yeah, the stall. i was like "what the hell?"

oh, and taking pictures. seriously you're taking up space, take cliche mirror pictures in your own bathroom.

I also hate it when girls bring other girls in the bathroom just so they can have someone to talk to while they pee. They clog up sink space, mirror space, and floor space, and they are not even there to pee.

  • FreeeVerse@xanga

@goblinsinthemirror@xanga - I'm with you on the mirror-hoggers. Those who do it are usually the vainpots.

  • heyybeautifull@xanga

i only went in the bathroom for phone calls in highschool, since we weren't allowed to use cellphones. but they were short, & to my mother.

& two, ewww. jgdfhgjksfg. that's so nasty. some girls can be so gross.

@soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga - lol, at your last statement.

  • Bubblicious0asian@xanga

lol I agree with the second one. In my school some immature girls always stick pads on the hand dryers D= Grosss and some time bras too weird I know. Other one you should add is flushing the toilet. I mean come one no one wants to see your what your left behind

  • Rachies_Icons@xanga

ugh. NO ONE WASHES THEIR HANDS IN HIGH SCHOOL. it's fucking disgusting!

    WASH YOUR HANDS YOU NASTIES!

  • m0leymol3y@xanga

mos def agree with both. esp with #2!! it's really disrespectful and laaaaaaaame

  • MoonFaeEyryan@xanga

I actually saw shit on the ROOF at the bathroom in my HS once.

  • goldenautumn@xanga

    stop pissing on the seats!

it is soo much easier to put toilet paper down and then actually be able to sit on the sit, instead of hovering! And you don't get piss all over the seat that way!! It's a miracle!!!!

  • algebraicdisco@xanga

I agree with 1. and would like to add, that any talking for a prolonged amount of time should be banned.  I'm a shy pisser and I can't stand when I have to sit there and hold it for like 5 minutes waiting for a gang of girls to leave so I can urinate in peace and quiet.

Oh, and as for washing hands, don't pass judgement on other people because some of us carry hand sanitizers in our purse.  If I hear one more person say "ew" as I'm leaving the restroom, because I didn't want to cut between 7 girls hogging a mirror just to wash my hands, I'm going to scream.  I know what girls restrooms are like, so I come prepared.  If it's crowded I use my sanitizer.

  • algebraicdisco@xanga

@goldenautumn@xanga - OMG, I HATE THAT!  and if they do piss on the seat, FUCKING CLEAN THAT SHIT UP!!!  They have to turn around and flush, it's not like they don't see it!

  • soberheartss@xanga
  • mankini@xanga

@algebraicdisco@xanga - This! I can't tell you how many times in the past WEEK I've walked into a public restroom stall, only to turn right back around because there was pee ALL OVER the seat. A couple days ago I even texted my friend to express my disgust about it. I don't understand how it happens, and I especially don't understand why they wouldn't CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

  • where_are_my_fritos@xanga

@goldenautumn@xanga -   Haha, I didn't realize that this is *why* there is piss on toilet seats, lol.  Learn something new everyday.

I don't really understand why women "hover".  I mean, statistically, you are not very likely to contract a disease from sitting on a toilet seat.  And women that use their feet to flush the toilet.  Are they not going to wash their hands anyway???  You should be scrubbing your hands, people.  Also on the contracting disease thing.  A lot of women sit their purses in the floor by their seat.  You're much more likely to pick up a disease through this manner.  26% of womens' purses are currently carrying the Hepatitis A virus.
  • xSayakax@xanga

I have to agree with both.  And, please flush after using #2!!  I can understand if the toilet is broken, but if it's perfectly find, flush hard enough so that everything went through.

  • stardustskye@xanga

OMG, speaking of the second one.... This happened quite frequently in the gym bathrooms when I was in high school last year.

girls, on their PERIOD, leaving a bloody mess everywhere, and NOT FLUSHING the toilet even when they number #2! so there was pretty much bloody shit in the toilet. one time a girl even left her USED tampon on the floor. EWWW!!

Actually, maybe it was the same girl every time.... there's no way that many females are so disgusting.
