Trend Alert: Sequins from Head to Toe
Okay, I'm getting really nervous now that I've seen several, very influential celebrities sporting sequined outfits from head to toe. Beyonce was spotted out and about in head to toe sequins. Sienna Miller rocked her sequined look to a red carpet premiere (above).
Rihanna and Vanessa L. Williams are hopping on board with their jumpers.
I can't imagine what the fast fashion stores like Wet Seal, H&M or Forever 21 would have hanging on their racks but I don't think it will be pretty. For a less "in your face" look with sequins, try wearing sequins either up top only or as a bottom, as illustrated below.

These are actually similar to the sequin pattern Rihanna is wearing. Be very careful people. I see you with a black tank, black blazer, no jewelry, and black booties.

I'm wearing a purple sequin tunic tank right now... but I am wearing no jewelry, jeggings, and converse slip ons ... plus a plain, fitted black blazer on over it. So it's toned down. :)

I think sequins need to be used in small doses... a top, a skirt... but all over look hideous. I wouldn't invest much money in this look anyway because it's more of a trend that'll probably be an embarassment to humanity later on instead of something classic.

The last time I wore sequins was 20 years ago--on my ballerina outfit. I hated them then, and I hate them now. This is yet another stupid 'celebrity' trend that I will not be copying.
I don't mind Beyonce's, but the others' are really just disgusting.

everything else was gross. sequins should be in verrrry small doses, and probably not worn for a regular occasion, ie going to school.

Definately, one of those things that is hit or miss. I'd have to see in person. None of these pictures are really letting me see how the light plays on the outfit.
