Kymaro Body Shaper: Another Lazy Way To Be Slimmer?
I was flipping through the TV channels real late at night and typically there's nothing but infomercials on at this time. I came across this odd infomercial promoting this product called Kymaro Body Shaper. It's basically your modern day corset. Its target audience are those who are bigger and have front and back bulges when wearing tight clothing (and also for some slimmer people who have a bit of a gut too).
In my opinion, this is pretty much lazy.
Is the Kymaro Body Shaper just another lazy technique of looking slimmer without having to lose weight?

I agree. Lazy.
But I suppose you can wear that as you are trying to lose weight...?
ROFL! I cannot believe this is serious.....
Not hardly. I don't care how skinny you might be, there are just some outfits that require a more streamlined look.
i want one. im not like fat or anything but i have a bit of a food baby.
i was looking at the sizes and was like what they don't have small? and then i thought about it. hahaha.
I think it's a great solution for people who are in the process of losing weight, but need an immediate solution (say for a wedding or something).
It's a great motivational tool ("One day I can look like this, without wearing something so bothersome"), but only if used as such!
I don't think it's lazy at all. Like stated above, it could even be a motivational thing.
You have to admit, there are times (like that dreaded time of the month, especially) when you just don't feel all that great about your body. Something like this could really help boost your ego.
And, think about it this way, with this on, a woman may look a lot more slender and feel great, but from all of those compliments, she'd sooner or later realize that she can't rely on this tool for the rest of her life. Especially if she intends to go further with someone. Clothes come off and then there's this. Yeah, definitely more of a motivational thing if clothes come off and it's actually one's natural body and not a full-body panty hose thing.
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - LOL I did that too!
I'm not a big fan of stuff like this. For one, I'm really thin, for two, I want all my clothes to be really comfortable.
Plus I've read reviews of this thing and apparently it doesn't even work.
I can understand wanting to smooth out your body and such...but I think this would not be the best way to go about it, unless it was for a special occasion or something. I would be so embarrassed if I was going to hook up with a guy or something and as we're undressing he sees THAT. Can you imagine how annoyed he'd be? Sure, looks shouldn't matter, but if the results are as drastic as they claim, it would be a huge shock (no pun intended).
Yup.
@ImpaledFlutterBy@xanga - I don't see how you could wear one even then? Wouldn't it be painful?
i would never wear one ever in my life, but i could see how someone overweight would want to, say for a special occasion or something. i'd rather get a gym membership myself.
oh for a second i thought it would help make your boobs look bigger D:
but then i realized... T____T
@LaddersAndTights@xanga - Nah. I mean, you have to consider that it affects people differently but what's the same across the board is that often, women have lower self-esteem around that time of the month.
It just comes down to that sometimes you just really want to feel better about yourself. Yeah, it could be a lazy kind of thing if someone becomes dependent on it, but if it's just something that's worn every now and then with a certain outfit or for a sleeker look, then I don't think it's just lazy.@ImpaledFlutterBy@xanga - >> .. I totally knew that. Yeah, see. I was just testing you. >>;
.............. *epicly fails*
@HereInMyVoid@xanga - You don't even need a gym membership, just go for a walk. :D
Who cares?
lazy and uncomfortable.
Hey now, I'll be the first to say I'm a big fan of the shapewear. I own a Spanx-knockoff that I dearly love. I like me a whole lot, but sometimes certain things just look better if you have something to smooth out the pudge.
Lazy? Probably. But I don't feel like we should be attackin' folks who do wear them.
Why is it lazy to want to look nice?
@LaddersAndTights@xanga - heheh, fair enough. i DO live in New England though, where it is absolutely freezing 6 months outta the year, extremely hot for summer's 3... and the other 3 are either windy or rainy mostly. lol. we all have gym memberships in these parts. ;)
This sounds like it was written by someone who has never given birth or had the "post-baby pooch". Sure, maybe it could be looked upon as lazy for those who sit on their asses and do nothing all day but eat, but for those of us who have lost a significant amount of weight and STILL have extra skin or a belly because we've done something like, oh, say, give birth? Well, I for one am glad there is something like this out there.
haha photoshop ftw...
@HereInMyVoid@xanga - :D I live in hillbilly world. HUZZAH!
Who cares?
better than going under the knife
it's genius.
