HELP! Is This Wallet Too "Metro" for my BF?
My boyfriend lost his wallet a month ago, and I figured for Christmas I would be a good girlfriend and get him a new one. Now I've been looking at all the places he likes to shop, and I really found one I like from PacSun. The thing is, I don't know if it's too trendy/metro for him.
I mean he's not all conservative and boring, but I just think this wallet might be a little much.
What do you think? Should I keep looking?

iiiit's pretty metro. i'd look for something a tad bit more manly. but hey, that's just me.

my boyfriend would hate it. he only buys "genuine leather" wallets for $2-$5 from illegal street vendors. it's his style, i don't knock it.
My gay friend is sitting behind me and said that he loves it if that means anything to you. =/
Well, I like it....for myself. I would stick with traditional looking ones. Keep the reciepts and if he doesn't like them take him and let him pick one out. :)
Does he wear bright colors and usually shops at Pac Sun and Urban Outfitters? If he does not, I would suggest you don't buy it for him. Keep the receipt just in case.

I think it's too metro. I'd go for something more solid colored. You don't want him to get those looks like "is he gay?" from the cashiers at stores when he pulls it out.
Buying a man a wallet is an art......
Also, consider what his current/past/old wallets look like. Bi-fold? Tri? Long? Short? Leather? Brown, black blue? Those are important!
If you think it's "a little too much", doesn't that mean you already know the answer to what you're thinking?

Hm...I'd say keep looking girlie. I would recommend either keeping it simple, or asking him what he'd prefer!

Get him a nice leather credit card holder and a separate money clip. No need for overly colorful extravagance.

Don't do it. Guys are VERY particular about what kind of wallet they like. I look every time I go to the store and find one I like about every four years. I wouldn't be too happy with one someone else picked.
