Vintage Hollywood: So Glam!

I must say, I am a huge fan of the oldies, old is gold after all. I was watching a movie the other day, Penelope.. Staring Natalie Wood. I must say, I loved almost every outfit she wore in that film. Let's suppose the movie was made in the 40's? Maybe even the 30's... All of the trends from way back then have come back..
Take the photo above for example... Black liner flicked out at the corners, statement ring, nude lips and pearls.
Beautiful, elegant and still popular decades down the line.
So lovelies... What are your favorites from the golden oldies?

I loooove the 40s. Just about everything from it. The make up, the hair, the clothes, the jewlery. Even the people seemed to have more elegance and class than now.
I like the elegant laughs. A satin-gloved hand shyly covering an open mouth. Not sure if that's characteristic of this period, but that's what I think of.
i love the pearls and the jewelry of vintage hollywood
Um... the movie was made in 1966... the fashion is from 60s...it's pretty obvious not 40s or 30s.... WAAAAAAAAY different..
I loved that movie... all the old trends in fashion keep coming back. My favorite is the old classy/sophisticated style coming back in a more fashion forward way, like this outfit featured in Vogue =)

(... And i like the black eyeliner, and pearls too as someone mentioned above)
Marlyn Monroe, no matter what she has done, shes an icon for beauty. <3
Yes, she is stunning.
@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - I love her!
I love Ginger Rogers's clothes in her movies. Her dresses look incredible in her musicals with Fred Astaire from the 30s.
Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly were always gorgeous. Simple classic styles that never go out of style. Love them! Remember that Gap (I think it was) commercial where they had a scene from an Audrey Hepburn movie go along with their ad? Absolutely loved it, and it proved that the classics last!
loove the oldies
Audrey Hepburn always either looked classy or cute, or both! I love her look.
Anything to do with pearls...LOVE them!
Marilyn Monroe's thick curves, natural beauty and just the way people didn't slut it up so much in the past.
:o that's like the kind of makeup i try to wear! i like the little wings out of the eyeliner because of my eyelid folds so you can actuallys ee me wearing eyeliner ;____; it's like, i dont have a monolid but i dont have a double eyelid crease D:<
Audrey Hepburn is my fave :)
natalie wood was a movie star in the 60s... not the 30s or 40s.
Bridget Barbot. Lovelovelove the thick eyeliner, nude lips n big hair combo lol.
