Tacky or Cute: Matching Tattoos
Ever since someone figured out how to put ink into peoples skin, couples, best friends, even family members and team mates have been getting matching tattoos. But what do you think?
Is it tacky? Or is it cute? Would you ever get a matching tattoo with someone?

Not a fan. A tattoo should be a personal thing.
there was already a post like this. and it's tacky.
Tacky.
Whatever rocks your socks though i guess :/ xMy sisters and I are getting matching tattoos. It all depends on who you're getting it with and what it's going to be/mean.
First one eh, second has some merit if that is what your into. I'm not into ink myself but, I know a lot of people who are
i think it really depends. with a couple it's usually a bad idea, just in case. but my sister and i are both getting tattoos that say " there is strength in the differences between us, and there is comfort where we overlap." it's an ani difranco quote. and i don't think its tacky because we are best friends and family and always will be.
If it's family, then it's not tacky because you will always be family.
But friendships and relationships...? No. A lot end and you're stuck with a tattoo that reminds you of that person FOREVEEERRRR (or until you go through that painful tattoo removal surgery).
It depends.
i have a matching tattoo with an ex. we both fell in love listening to a band. throughout our relationship we had a lot of things happen where something with the band would come up. we were going to get lyrics from a song, but we ended up getting one of the album logos with the words give it all. even though we are not together, we are still incredible friends and i wouldn't regret it.
I got one with my boyfriend!! I know boyfriend-girlfriend tattoos are really looked down upon, but I don't care. I live my life with no regrets. We got three little red circles on our wrists, and they line up when we hold hands. We got them tattooed after dating for two weeks, and we've been together for 1 year and 9 months so far. If we break up, I'll look at the tattoo as a reminder of how I felt about him when I got it.... I would look at it in the same way that a person would look at a diary entry they wrote about a new love interest, long after the love has faded. It's a symbol of the hope I had for the relationship and love I felt. It will always be a reminder to take chances and hope for the best. I'm sure he has his own "meaning" for it. We didn't put that much thought into it at the time.
I think matching tattoos can be cute, but I don't like the idea of writing another person's name on you. I mean it's MY body, why would I label it with someone else's name?
I mean... it can be cute. Once again, it depends on the person and the tattoo.
Personally? NO! We'll leave it at that.
Totally depends on the tattoo. I mean my aunt, sister and I have matching ones. We all have a dragonfly because they remind us of my mom but we all have different ones. My aunts is a normal dragonfly, my sister has an abstract one and I have an actual dragon with dragon fly wings, we got them to suit our personality as well as the meaning.
But the star one in the first picture looks tacky.
If its with family, then I'm okay with it. Anything else just seems like asking for the relationship to go bad. One of my tattoos was inspired by a friend, one was inspired by my then-SO, but none of mine intentionally match anyone else's that I know.
i want to say cute.
but just cant do it... as long as its personal and the meaning/reason if special
I normally don't go for it, but i actually do like that second one. It looks like it could be a unique tattoo in itself, so it's not too cheesy-matchy.
Depends. It could be regretful.
I guess it depends on the meaning of the tattoo and how close you are with the person.
The second one is absolutely adorable, though :]
haha, people may think it's cute to get one with your SO but once you break up, it must suck.
not into tattoos at all... but I think it'd be cute for people who are =)
@Manstration@xanga - Can't a personal thing be shared between two people? Can't it be personal to them?
My bf and I have matching tattoos by accident. Well, his is colored in and says "Never" at the base of the flame and has no heart, like mine does, but still. Anyway I think I stated my opinion in another blog like this.
My sister and I are getting matching tattoos. A cresent moon with surrounding stars with our grandmother's name underneath.
depends, the second is cute. the first picture is gross.
Neither really.
