I know celeb couples love matching their outfits, but sometimes matching can go too far. I would never want me and my boyfriend to be too matchy matchy. I am all about personal style, but there are some things I could never let a boyfriend of mine wear.
1. Man Jewelry- I'm okay with ONE ring, but anymore than that it gets weird. And I HATE the single gold hoop earring! Pierced ears are okay on a guy, but the gold hoop is tacky looking.
2. UGG Boots- I don't even like them on women... let alone men! I should also throw in Crocs too!
3. V-Neck Tee- Zac Efron loves wearing them, but I think for the average guy it's not a good look. It's a little too metro for my taste. If he showed up for a date wearing a v-neck and blazer I would feel like he was dressed better than me! I understand their purpose as an "undershirt" but not for matching your girlfriend.
4. Woman's Jeans- I know for awhile emo guys wanted to wear girls jeans because they want the tightest fit. But now they make skinny guy jeans so I don't need to see 7 For All Mankind on my boyfriend's butt. I'm not against skinny jeans on a guy, but just don't wear my jeans!
5. Hair Gel- GROSS! I don't mind if it's used to keep your mohawk standing up, but I prefer to be able to run my fingers through hair. I still don't get why guys wear their hair like this:

i agree with all but the v-neck, v-necks look really good on some guys.
I'd let my boyfriend wear whatever the hell he wanted. It's his body. As long as he's happy with himself, who cares? How would you feel if your boyfriend gave YOU a list of stuff he'd never "let" you wear?
My bf wouldnt choose to wear a lot of that stuff. I like the vnecks and I think gelled blow outs are sexy. But my bf would never wear skinny jeans, uggs or hoop earrings so we're all good. Uggs are cute on little boys but past the age of maybe 5 or so, I think they are girl shoes.
That's why I'm with a guy who has a style I like (physical attraction came first, then we connected on an emotional level, as most do). I don't have any complaints about the way he dresses.
LET HIM?!!! You dress your boyfriend like he's a two year old? Wow just wow. Any man who would tolerate a girlfriend who controls what he wears is in my opinion not worth having. It's one thing to have an opinion on anothers choices in apparel but quite another to decide what they are 'allowed' to wear.
V-necks = hotness, I don't care what you say.
I only agree with the gel one and the Ugg boots.
The others are fine, V-Necks are fucking hot on some guys.
I'm not sure what goes through guys minds when putting on Uggs or the gold hoop earring. Personally, I don't think the V-Neck is so bad. I use Paul Mitchell dry wax instead of gel.

I don't control what my husband wears.....as long as he wears clothes in public I really couldn't care less.
...but I DO agree on hair gel. I hate hair gel. And honestly, I hate guys who do anything to their hair other than cut and wash it. But hair gel grosses me out beyond belief.
Wow, talk about unfair. If it really bothered me that my SO wore something that irritated me, I'd let him know, NOT forbid him not to wear it. All of the above don't bother me, except if he wore too much man jewelry.

First off, what guys really wear Ugg boots? Lol, that picture is from “I Love You, Man” and that was just a characteristic of his character and honestly, it just made him funny and awesome. =p
Second, I think V-neck tee's are sexy on guys...as long as they're kind of built and don't have the whole chest hair thing going on.
Thirdly, I definitely agree with the hair gel thing, those guys look like TOOLS!
