A Fall Wedding... What Should I Wear?
I'm invited to my band director's wedding. There is going to be a bunch of people I don't know. It has to be a classy appropriate dress. The wedding is at four o' clock and I have absolutely nothing to wear. I need some ideas for what to wear or like some good websites.
The dress has to be like considerably cheap.. Like something under $60. Its not that formal of a wedding... so yeah if you could help me out I would love it a bunch!
What's a good dress? Where should I look?

i get my cheapy dresses at forever 21. some look cheap but some dont. i got an adorable one for 12.50!
I'm sorry don't have any advice for you. But try and go for reddish/browny colours for the fall?
Apparently, you're not supposed to wear red to weddings.
TJ Maxx has Tahari (I wore a black-and-white wrap dress to an October wedding) and BCBG and other wonderful things for $20-$40. It'll take some shopping, but it's there.
@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - I disagree. That's just a superstitious myth. Wear like a bronze/orange dress. Something like this. http://static.houseofbrides.com/files/images/dt/0-9/5437f_dt.jpg
@britnirm - Oh I'm talking about like.... red-red.
i am also going to a fall wedding, in a couple weeks. i think i am just going to wear either turquoise or purple, with either black or grey. reds and oranges aren't for everyone, they look awful with my skin tone. i say wear whatever color(s) makes you feel good! i think blues and purples also look good in fall, maybe that's just me.
as for shopping, i'd also recommend tj maxx. they are hit or miss at times, but they get new stuff constantly so if you go a few times you'll find something eventually.. but they do have cheap yet nice dresses.
@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - I thought white wasn't allowed, since the bride usually wears white? I have never heard that being the case for Western weddings. But I know women usually don't wear red for South Asian weddings since the bride generally is generally the one wearing red.

People always told me it was white and red. White because the bride wears white and red because it takes the attention away from the bride since the color is so attractive.
I wasn't talking about the bride not wearing red! I'm talking about the guests.
@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - Why not? Ive never heard that
I recommend Dillards or some place like that -they always have neat sales and modest things if you know where to look!

how about it? you can wear it to work as well.
a brown dress is always a good way to go.
@britnirm - that dresss is gorgeous!
Forever, Ross, TJ Maxx, Kohl's, clearance section of many stores. I feel like dresses are everywhere this year, so you could definitely pick up a great dress for 20 bucks.
Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall, Kohl's, Forever 21, Wet Seal, DEB
@snapeful@xanga - That dress is gorgeoussss!!!!
umm i'd wear anything but white
debs usually has lots of cheap cute dresses
I would go to TJ Maxx, Ross's, or Kohl's to look for a dress. I love TJ Maxx because you can find great names for super cheap. You just have to shop. You can also get something cute at one of the Jrs shops like Forever 21 (only if you are under 25). However, if you go there be careful of getting something too trend no matter how conservative a the cut is overly trendy stuff looks out of place at weddings that aren't casual. As far as the color to buy the dress in, I would only avoid wearing the same color as the wedding party and the bride if she is the type that cares.
Try, Marshall's, Forever 21, TJ Maxx, Macy's, Kohl's, and Target. I know Macy's sounds silly, but they had a pretty sweet sale last weekend, so the clothes are probably still marked way down.
