"New Moon" is Overrated
I hate to downplay everyone's excitement for Friday's premiere of New Moon, but seriously, do we have to watch Bella and Jacob since Edward dumped her, because he was afraid of loving her? It's stupid, it's another teen vampire movie with no class and substance. Bella is clingy, and way too emotional. Seriously, what teenage girl, and I am saying this because I was one at one time, would put herself in danger that many times and follow a teenage vampire around? Is she stupid or brain-dead?
Jacob is a werewolf, she should have learned her lesson the first time around in Twilight, to not mess with other worldly creatures...it only gets you in MORE trouble. I have to say the books were eh alright, I can read them if there is nothing else for me to read, but Twilight sucked, and I will say it did. I mean I can watch Angel all night long because let's face it, Angel is a hot, dark, sinister vampire, who can and will kill beings that need killed. He isn't a touchy vampire. He did fall in love with Buffy, all of us who have watched the show know what happened one night of passion did to him. He lost his soul, he turned evil, and luckily he was able to get his soul back.
But never does Angel follow and act like a puppy to some girl. I loved when he married Cordelia, but that was different she was never clingy and that probably why I would prefer to watch Angel over New Moon. For all of you New Moon fans get a life and realize that there are other things more worthy of your time than watching Edward and Bella and Bella and Jacob and Bella just being a stupid idiot. Bella is stupid; she is a product of a middle aged woman who probably hasn't gotten laid in years and she is reenacting her teen fantasies because she probably wanted to have a vampire come and bite her and give her immortal life.
Enough of my ranting - are you going to see New Moon or are you going to skip it?

no its not :)
...i find this post offensive.
and yes, i'm going to see it, and yes, i'm excited.
you know, its a sad day when the only reason I want to see a movie even in the dollar theater is just to see the scenery of Washington state. I've read the books, and it is just a teen romance book with the word "vampire" and "werewolf" thrown in every few paragraphs.
Who knows, maybe a bigger budget can help the movie.
don't know, don't care, & long live harry potter.
@irunwithwerewolves@xanga - ditto.
I'm going with a group of friends.
Not because we like it, but to be annoying.
We're going to cheer when Edward leaves.
Meh, all of Twilight is overrated. I know the books are always better than the movies but after seeing the movie, and being moved to tears by its cheesy dialogue and ridiculous plotline (plus Bella just annoys the crap out of me and Edward is CREEPY!) I have no desire to read the books. I'd consider seeing this movie once it comes out on DVD but I'm not going to spend 8 bucks on a movie I'm not that interested in.
YES! *APPLAUDS WILDLY* Thank you. Though I'd amend your title to, "Twilight, Bella Swan, Sparkly Vampires, and all afilliated characters overated."
I might see it for the hell of it. I dislike Twilight. But the first movie had some merits. It seemed to make Bella a stronger, deeper character than the books...but not by too much. Also, the film didn't seem to take itself TOO seriously. I like that in a shitty, teen vampire flick.
@breaking_expectations@xanga - Win!
I never saw the first one and I don't even care to watch it. heard it was wack but I heard the book was good.
Um, it's just a fiction book and movie. As much as I don't see why everyone loves it, I don't see why everyone else has to hate it. I can see why teenage girls would enjoy it. It makes me smile to see them go crazy... it's entertaining and funny... Anyway, the new movie actually looks enjoyable, and I'm probably gonna go see it.
i like how this post acts like lovelyish readers LIKE twilight...
@irunwithwerewolves@xanga - You and 90% of the female, teen population.
Posts bitching about anything Twilight related belong on Mancouch. That's all.
@snapeful@xanga - Amen!
I'll see it when it comes out on dvd so I can laugh at how much it fails.
Twilight is overrated.
Hating on Twilight is also overrated.
Is New Moon going to be "best movie of the year" quality? No. Is it even going to make the list of "top movies of the year"? No.
At the same time, I'm tired of people bashing teenage girls ( or even older girls) who enjoy the movies and the books. There's nothing wrong with liking something even if it is lacking in quality.
I, personally, am going to go see New Moon with my friend because we read the books in high school, complained about how badly the story deteriorated and laughed through some of Robert Patinson's "too intense for the moment" acting in Twilight. It's not necessarily what I would call a "high-quality" story, but we're all entitled to enjoy the quirky things in life.
I'm going against my will. -.-
And to cheer during the scene where Edward says "this is the last time you will see me" and see how many pissed off little girls I get.
no offense, but if you're obsessed that much where you let it rule your life then you're just stupid.
I love the Twilight books.
I love the movie.
I can't wait for the new one.
I don't, however, let it control me.
I think people that have such a big issue with Twilight have nothing better to do than put it down.
I have to admit though, I do like the books, and I was a fan of them. Just not the movie.
Just wanted to clear that up.
@snapeful@xanga - lol nice :D
I love Buffy. =)
Fuck sparkly vampires.
Oh, and True Blood rocks.
Hahahahah
This is perfect. I effing HATE Twilight. And Bella. Oh my god is she the stupidest person ever. I just want to kill her. She is The Worst.
I love the books. I didn't think the first movie was that great but that doesn't mean I'm not going to see the second one. :)
I'm actually going to the midnight showing with my best friends. I might even wear a team jacob shirt. ;)
Ha. :) everyone and I mean EVERYONE likes something lame.
I couldn't care less.
I'm just riding this whole "screaming teenage girls, vampires are romantic, and emotional and needy females are in" thing out.
