  • Is It Gay to Write for Lovelyish?

"You're on a pink makeup site, you made a post about "mean girls", you get into a catfight with said mean girl, and you look androgynous .... and you're straight? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha"

Recently my friend was attacked with such a nasty comment because of a few things he'd written/done. This quote will remain anonymous as his first (and only) mistake was to reveal the name of such person.

But let's have a breakdown of this statement.

"You're on a pink makeup site"

Stop right there sister. How is that even wrong? There's several guys who also write for Lovelyish. My friend just happens to be more popular writing for them. I doubt there's 2000+ Lovelyish subscribers being ALL FEMALE. Are those remaining ones gay?

"Made a post about 'mean girls'"

Uhh, so? It's merely depicting the cruelty and blantant existence of some females. I'll be first to admit I'm a bitch when I have to be but only to those that deserve it. So, does writing about this topic contribute to his "gayness"?

    "Catfight"

    definition:
used to describe two humans insulting each other verbally or being otherwise nasty to each other

Uhh, he's been respecting you the whole time I read the comments that followed in his posts. He even tried addressing you with the issue that you're being really childish. But what do you do? Be a brat about it. What happened to growing a pair? Why don't you stop twisting people's words or changing the subject altogether.

    "Androgynous"

Sorry what? Did you really say that? What are you, five? Genetics can't change and just cause he has prettier eyes than you or doesn't have a butt-chin doesn't mean he isn't straight. Do you really think every effiminate-looking guy out there is gay?

I'm bisexual and finding you calling someone gay based on the limited information you have on them is just pathetic. It's an insult to me and probably every other person in the LGBT community to think that you'd throw around the word 'gay' like that.

So, is it gay for someone to write for Lovelyish?
