Do Babies REALLY Need Skinny Jeans?
What else are hipster babies supposed to wear to their Williamsburg daycare?...Baby Gap sells skinny jeans for babies and toddlers. At almost $30 a pair, you'd better hope skinnies are here to stay (and your kid doesn't have some mega growth spurts!).
Strangely enough, Gap's skinnies only are available for infant and toddlers girls, not boys. Guess Bronx Mowgli Simpson-Wentz better find a custom tailor, stat!
Skinny jeans for toddlers: cute, or a trend going too far?

i'd say it's a little much. i would never buy them for my baby.
babies are supposed to cute and fat-not skinny...
I saw a 2yr old wearing skinny jeans at my work the other day. I really didn't know what to think about it but the my immediate reaction was "WTF?!"
eeeeeeeeesh.
not as bad as thongs for toddlers.. =/
I think it's super cute!
@baby__br3@xanga - WHAAAT? That's insane!!!
and skinny jeans for kids is ridiculous.
It's not even practical... 2 year olds don't even want to wear pants, nevermind squeezing them into skinny jeans. All my kids have worn loose fitting pants.. unless they're wearing leggings with a dress or something.
my babies are going to be naked all the time.
Super cute. If I had a little girl, she'd have a pair and a pair of high heels like Suri's. I don't understand why people care how other people dress thier children. I mean skinny jeans are just jeans. It's not like they are stripper wear. Pasties and thongs for toddlers are disturbing.
@Erika_Steele@xanga - I agree 100 percent!!
@eomona@xanga - very true, i went into a store not too long ago and yes i saw thongs aged 4/5 years i was mortified!!
That's such a dumb idea! Also, how has the cash do dish out 30+ every time the kid grows...
Errm, too far :/
@baby__br3@xanga - What? THONGS? Who would let a toddler wear thongs?
And skinny jeans I like, but for babies/toddlers? Nah. Well, okay.. but only if the toddler was comfortable wearing them.
I vote no. Sure every child is dressed by their parents style, but that doesn't mean I'll be getting my baby tattooed, just because that's what I'm into. Your child doesn't need to look like a clone of yourself. Babies need to be babies...
@baby__br3@xanga - thongs...my god I forgot about those, you're right...in comparison, maybe the jeans arent so bad!
I would buy these for my little one, provided they fit comfortably...no emo fit, no muffin tops! That would be a sad sight on a baby, no?
This is getting ridiculous.
They better have stretchy elastic waistbands.
why can't babies be fashionable? D:
If those jeans were cheaper, then maybe. But I couldn't afford to pay that much for a pair of jeans when im sure the baby is gonna be growing out of the clothes super fast...
@baby__br3@xanga - that's ridiculous. wow.
that would seem very hard to play in.
shoot - my kids are going to be wearing mini-mom jeans, elastic and everything. they get the job done. ;)
er.. but too far i think.
they named their son bronx mowgli? as in mowgli, after the cartoon panther? that poor child.
i don't understand why people these days are so eager to dress their babies...not like babies. they grow up so fast, why would you want to just totally skip the little jumpers and overalls phase? this definitely isn't the worst thing ever, but skinny jeans are trendy; babies don't need to be trendy.
and they don't make skinny jeans for boys because boys shouldn't wear skinny jeans. no matter how old they are.
If I ever have children, they won't be dressing like me.
I like the really cute little dresses and things that they have specifically for toddlers, like those times where you see a little kid wearing overalls with frogs on it or something. I wouldn't want my baby to look like they just went on a shopping spree with their friends.
stupiiidddd.
