Does Elmer's Glue Work for Acne?

Mixing Elmer's Glue and water to make an acne mask...does it work? Give your advice @ Lovelyish Advice here...

I said this on the other one: Yes, don't try it. Just seriously don't. It doesn't work. Stick to over-the-counter items if you're concerned. They may take a while to kick in, but they work better than elmer's glue.

Bad idea. Come on! It's glue, for goodness sake. Plus, no matter how much water you put in it, you are going to have to walk around smelling like a kindergartener's macaroni art piece all day. Just buy some Noxema if you're so concerned about your face.

Haha, I Know it's good for your pores.
My friend Cassie and I used to just randomly put elmer's glue on our faces.

She had bad acne!
It slowly went away!
She was so happy!
lol

So go for it!

Seriously. Glue? If you're going to use something around the house, try doing homemade masks or something.. There are homemade masks you can make at home using what you have. But no glue, please.

i dont think so, it's glue so id assume there might be some harsh chemicals, and it would probably leave residue and clog your pores even after cleaning your face. Believe me i have horrible acne im taking accutane. All the home remidies in the world couldnt help acne. If its asingle pimple, go get spot treatment with Benzoyl peroxide as a main ingredient. It will speed the healing time up a lot. If theres a PROMINENT white head, wash face thoroughly, then gently squeeze with two q-tips and stop before it bleeds. Immediately put spot treatment on after.

when i was yonger i use to put glue on my hands then peel it off & it would be extra clean lol maybe it'll be good for your pores

Think about it. It's formulated for kids, who are likely to try to eat it, so it's 100% safe and will not hurt your face.
I've heard of I think Kate Hudson? doing this. I'd try it.

I've never heard of it. I doubt it works and I am not going to try it. i'd rather spend my money on acne trearment.

I saw this on youtube, a girl with the username: anneorshine actually tried this. She already has good skin or so it seems already.. So I don't know. There are a lot of products you may never thought you would use (like aspirin, it's actually very common NOW). I wouldn't try it unless a lot of people have but if it really does work, it may actually be comparable to other skincare products.
I can see why people would experiment glue with acne because glue probably dries up the pimple but to put it all over the face might actually be too drying. If anyone is actually willing to try it let us know if it works! If more than 100 people tried it and has good results, then that probably means this glue mask is quite promising.

i've tried it, and it wooorks. if you put it on your nose and let it dry ALL the way, it'll pull blackheads out too.

I used to put glue on my skin all the time when I was little. I would guess it would work just like pore strips do. It would probably pull out whatever's clogging your pores when you peel it off.

Mask is not that expensive, I would rather to use something that I know I can sue the company if anything seriously goes wrong

Yeah I'll try it on my nose. Hah. I used to put it on my hands all the time and let it dry and peel it off. I doubt its harmful... just dont get it in your eye.
