You Stay Classy, Marilyn Manson
90's shock-rocker Marilyn Manson is apparently still making music, and, even worse, music videos.
In the video for his new song "Running to the Edge of the World," he violently beats and murders a girl who looks suspiciously like his ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood and then leaves her body in a bathtub.
I don't want to link to the video because it's disturbing, but if you must watch it, you can find it on Youtube.
It makes me really sad that some people apparently consider violence against women to be artistic. And I guess MM realized his 15 minutes expired a long time ago and decided he needed to pull this kind of stunt in order to make headlines.
What do you think about this? Were you ever into Marilyn Manson?

He's always been one to try to do something shocking. Nothing he does really surprises me any more.
I have friends who love this guy. I really don't care for him that much.
His music's terrible and he just tries to do whatever he can to be "provocative" and he really just looks like an idiot who's trying too hard.
he seems like a nice guy in his interviews...

Why does Lady Gaga get away with odd outfits and odd amounts of make up, but when he does it there's a problem?
I don't know about the video, and you know, shit happens. There are a lot of people who have disturbing videos.

Hm honestly not surprised. Sorry, but I like Marilyn Manson and his music. I don't mind the videos because it matches his attitude, style, sound, etc. Not that it's right, it just fits.

I personally enjoy some of Manson's music. I don't run out and buy his cds or see him in concert and I don't really like his videos, but he has some good songs.
I used to like him.

Asking, even sarcastically, for Marilyn Manson to stay classy implies that he 'was' classy at some point. He wasn't, ever. The weakest kind of vapid rip-off merchant!
Yeah. He's kind of lame. He sucks as far as statements go but some songs are okay.
MM screwed up? Hah.
Violence against anyone isn't artistic, but it happens. I'd rather people be aware of it than be ignorant about it.
he has some of the best covers. ever. even if you can't understand the man at least try to appreciate what he does with his music

I am not personally a fan of him, but, from what I have read about him (and a little by him), he is a person with a real message, which I have to give him credit for, as it seems 90% of "musicians" don't have it.
