With all these hot young vampires gracing movies, TV, and books, maybe there is a little truth to the classic vampire myth that blood keeps you young, at least your own blood that is.
One of the hottest new anti-aging procedures is Stimulated Self Serum skin therapy or "S3" also nicknamed Dracula therapy, which injects your own blood into your face. Well not exactly blood, but a clear liquid that exists after the blood cells and platelets are removed. The doctor draws blood from you, separates it, mixes your serum with amino acids and other vitamins, and then injects the concoction back into your face.
This procedure is said to stimulate DNA repair, heel scars, and make the skin appear more youthful naturally.
Sounds like a sound but painful idea!! Would you ever try this or any other anti-aging procedure?

It sounds pretty good, but then again I know virtually nothing about it other then what you've said above lol. Maybe one day I would give that a go but not before doing a lot of research on it beforehand.
Yes there is the old myth that blood makes you look younger and possibly better looking but ewww. I would never want to get my own blood injected into my face. Yes I am only 18 and (trying not to sound conceited) am pretty, I don't need to have my blood injected in my face. But thats just gross and whoever thought of this is just sick. I love vampires and last halloween I watched a really long history thing about them and was a little obsessed but ewww. Thats all I can really say. Eww.
sounds expensive.
horrible, is it really that effective?
Wow, I thought Botox was gross but this is a new low.
Cells break down and we age. People just need to learn to accept it until we can find a way to fix mitochondrial dysfunction.
@KristInRainbows@xanga - How is it grosser than Botox?
Is it really even that effective? But I still look very young just know, so not for me.
@EuropeBrazil - I think I'd rather have something made from my own blood injected into my face than botulism. Or just moisturize and wear sunscreen now, so I don't look like a leather handbag when I'm older.
And this does sound expensive.
<_______< Can't I just hope to age gracefully? Lol.. Or maybe I'll use those Asian creams or something. I distrust Western medicine. Haha jk. I'm westernized :(
@EuropeBrazil - Because I hate having blood drawn and the thought of facial injections just freaks me out. So a combination of the two is really gross to me.
I don't like needles. So that'd be a no.
the actual procedure (needle in face) doesn"t sound like it would be any different than Botox and people do that all the time
Sounds expensive and overall, unappealing.
sounds like the next hollywood fad to me
that
is
so
COOL !
xD injecting blood into your face. wicked
ew.
yu are such a pimp!
Your blood minus blood cells and plasma is mostly water [90%], "dissolved proteins, glucose, clotting factors, mineral ions, hormonesand carbon dioxide." That's straight from wikipedia. None of that stuff is really going to help you.
just rub your own blood on your face like a moisturizer. they are using the vampire craze to make more money. if it was edward cullen's blood, I'd try it
or... i could pull a dracula/edward cullen.
i vant to suck your bluuuuuuudddd
that is wicked
That sounds a lot like a pass. Call me crazy.
I don't find this gross at all.
Wow...
