Notes* I used a
vintage plastic buckle that I've had for years, just lying around. I think it originally came attached to a fabric belt that matched a vintage dress.
* You can purchase
belt buckles like this at your local fabric store ...and actually loving the last two in the top row {follow link}. I may have to go grab that octagon one. It would have looked awesome with this leopard fabric {which I found as a remnant a while ago at
JoAnn's -
my local fabric shop}
* You can also use a man's tie for the second belt.
* These are both really simple DIYs. Less than 30mins each.
* Apologies for some dark/grainy shots. This is what happens when I wait until the end of Sunday to begin my DIY ...instead of in the daylight.
Have Fun!
Would you try this DIY?

Not my taste at all (I despise pretty much everything with an animal print aside from the actual animals themselves), but I love seeing these DIY posts. They're very cool. Keep up the good work!
no. i am too lazy to do something like that
I would definitely try it...just with a different fabric. Thanks! :D
I love these DIY posts. I wouldn't do this particular one, though.
I like the chain one. But I don't think animal print suits me.
I'm not a fan of leopard print.
Love it! If I had the time I would totally give it a whirl!
this is actually pretty freakin' awesome! i really like it. :)
I love the idea! And the necklace is a cute concept and could work well with ribbon! Good work!
i'm not a fan of leopard either, but this is actually really nice! :D
love the chain!
its cute :D!!
I am not a fan of animal print in general, not even a splash of it with an outfit. Cool idea though!
Knowing me, I'd screw it up. I can't do anything right.
nice... i like the second belt the best :)
I'm a fan! I love leopard print.
However, not sure i'd be up for all the diy. It's a great idea, but the procrastinator in me keeps me back..
I would consider it. Maybe even experiment with some more prints and fabrics if I have the time.
If only I weren't so lazy haha.
That's so cool!! Where can I buy a chain like that?
Ouu I love it, thanks!!
I think that for the most part animal print items just look tacky, especially zebra, leopard and tiger print stuff.
However, even though I say that, I do like the belt in the last picture. :)
i love the belt!
That's super cute! I Love it (:
love it!
