Have you ever asked a boy out, Lovelies? Did it work out? Do you think it's ok for girls to do the asking? Spill!

yep, i have. it seems like a lot of guys have become overly shy in this department. i see nothing wrong with women taking the initiative. and besides, it becomes kind of like shopping for us girls. you pic the guy you want and then you ask, rather than having all these creepers ask you. lol.
although, it is nice to have a guy step up from time to time :)
I never have, but I know people who have. I think its fine for girls to ask guys out
i haven't before, but of course it's okay for girls to do it~
but i kinda prefer if a guy asks me out cos i'm shy :x
I have! :) It was nervewracking, but I did it. I've only done it once, though. Not because I was afraid to, but because I wasn't entirely sure how the other person felt about me.
It's rather empowering, haha.
I have once. I knew the guy was a little shy and I was becoming impatient waiting for him to do it. But his shyness became incredibly annoying once we were together, I had to take the initiative with everything! So yeah, that didn't last too long. I think I prefer it when a guy is more assertive.
Yep.I definitely asked my ex out. We dated for 3.5 years. It was to a homecoming dance :) I was his first gf so he was shy, but super excited, and shy. He was a football player and 6'4. SUPER INTIMIDATING for me at least. It's not often that the indie band geek gets a guy like that. :D Oh, those were the days.
I did! We didn't end up going on the date, but I was proud of myself for having the courage to ask. :) He was a guy friend who I always thought was cute, and pretty cool. So i was just like, "why not?" even though it didn't work out, we're still friends. so it's all good.
I asked plenty of boys out! But I am a boy does that count???
Blehh!
I don't know why, but I have such an aversion to being the person who takes the chance of rejection. I've never had to make the first move in any of my relationships. I just like sitting and waiting...
Never asked a guy and never been asked out. I don't see anything wrong with it, my mom asked my dad out and they will be married for 28 years in Nov.
Though personally I would prefer if a man asks me out. I like to be persued and not do the persuing!
I asked a guy to a dance a few years ago. He said yes, but then "forgot" to buy a ticket. I was heartbroken, but his friend asked me and we ended up going together. I found out almost two years later that the guy I had asked didn't buy a ticket because his friend had wanted to go with me.
I asked another guy to our homecoming dance last year. I didn't have romantic intentions, but all of the guys (and girls) on my crew team had wanted someone to get the pole out of his ass. The dance was pretty awkward, and he avoided me at all costs for a while after that. Oh well.
Do you see that date above your post? 2009
get with the program.
Yep! A lot of guys I've dated have been overly shy, and being frustrated, I took the initiative.
I see nothing wrong with it
I have never asked a guy out, but I would if I liked a guy enough.
i have never asked a guy out and i never will.
i don't like dates, anyways.
no, cuz i dont know how haha
I've asked a guy out before. A lot of people are shy and intimidated. I'm comfortable with myself enough to ask a guy out, but I didn't do it all the time. I had to have had really liked them in order to do so. Did it work out? I told my husband to call me first when we started getting to know one another, does that count? LOL
haha no i didn't
I never had to, but I wouldn't have had a problem with doing it. I definitely think that girls should do the asking. If you sit around waiting you might be disappointed.
what the fuck? why wouldn't it be ok?
not exactly in the most direct way.. but dropped hints about movies i plan to watch/events i wanna go to.. and then casually say "yea.. lets go together then.. " something like that..
I'm sure men dont really mind women taking initiative these days.. so u go gurl~
Yep, I have :D I don't see a problem with it.
i don't see anything wrong with it. but i don't know if i could. i am pretty shy. lol.
xo
Both sexes can do it. I wouldn't do it because I am shy and fearful. I just can't do rejection or the dramatic scene after he says no.
Well, I never really asked a guy out. My boyfriend and I met online..and I was the first to mention I liked him. That was huge for me cause I never ever ever would have thought of doing that before. I don't really know what got into me the night I did..but we've been together for almost 2 years now and he's actually moving to my state this weekend.
