I'm concerned that without all the edges serged or even hemmed, the fabric will fray and fall apart. Otherwise, it's a pretty good idea.

I screw up everything so I would just leave clothes making to the professionals. I'm not fond of that design but as long as it's faux.

Fur, real or no, is just tacky imo.

Hm. I actually don't like this vest. :/ But, I do think you can do a lot of cool things with faux fur! :) It's just hard for me to like vests, they're made to go with just about anything, but yet...they don't. o.O;
