Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan on the hit show
Mad Men, married Geoffrey Arend who was in the movie
(500) Days of Summer in New York City.
The two were married in Il Buco restaurant so it was a casual, intimate affair. A lot of blogs are hating on her style choices. I like her simple bouquet, which looks like freshly picked flowers gathered from a garden.
I liked her dress although in the picture above it is pinned up. It flattered her figure beautifully. She looks happy so I'm guessing she likes it and that's all that matters,
right?I loved her bridesmaids outfits. If I was to have a wedding, this is how I would I do it. It is such a throwback to the '30s- LOVE IT!
Even the groomsmen were sporting their own style. I loved the little gathering of orange flowers pinned to their lapels. He is one lucky man!
What do you think of this "non-traditional" wedding? Fail or win? Would you let your bridesmaids wear different dresses?

I sometimes wish I could get married all over again because I would do it differently.
I love grooms and groomsmen in suits instead of tuxes. I like having bridesmaids in different dresses...as long as thematically they mesh...which to me they do in the above picture. And the more casual flower choices are awesome, too. Simple, elegant and nice.
Win. I love this. Well, I don't like the orange flowers, but that's because I don't love orange. I love the 30s-inspired theme though.
I like it. It's unique and memorable. Something out of the ordinary is always good. I like how everyone looks as if they are just going to a nice dinner or outing rather than prom-looking bride's maids dresses.
looooooooooove it.
It's interesting and different. If people don't get the theme, it looks modern and bland. Is that her husband? Wow, he scored big. Her, not so much.
i like it.
I <3 Christina. She's so beautiful.Â
@WhenHateIsTheOnlyOption@xanga - ikr? he looked really bad in the first picture. and the last one.
...yeah he just looks bad in general. christina could do better.
it seems pretty traditional to me. but she's beautiful. :)
whats with the hate? its HER wedding..
i honestly like the antique feel to it!
not sure about the dress since its pined up i cant tell
It's her wedding, who cares.
I love the originality!
her dress looks stupid.
"She looks happy so I'm guessing she likes it and that's all that matters, right?"
Yes, definitely. It's their wedding, and if they were happy with it, then that's all that matters. :)
As for what kind of wedding I'd have/what dresses I'd allow for my bridesmaids, I don't know actually. I haven't thought a lot about my wedding. Which I guess is strange since girls are always expected to be planning their wedding or whatever. Haha. I think I have given more thought to what I'd choose for my married name than my wedding.
The back of her dress and veil look like a mess. I love the front though.
it's okay. but i do love the flower on the guys :]
i like it. either to their own.
xo
Love it.
@RoastedMarshmallow@xanga - its pinned up
@Stupendulous@xanga - With the help of that messy veil added, it looks like a bunch of extra fabrics that were placed there by mistake.
she has christina aguilera syndrome because she is also named christina and married an unattractive guy. beauty is in the eye of the beholder
in the last picture, the shorter guy in the gray suit standing between her brown suit husband and the old guy, is hot.
win. the style of those clothes is beautiful. hope they stay together. :)
I love it (: I love love love the themeee.
gorgeous
I love the idea!
