Top 10 Cities to Find Quality Men
A team of psychologists put together a list of the Top 10 cities where women could find good matches in men. They gathered census data that covered "lifestyle" habits such as smoking and drinking. Along with the most common factors that women base a potential mate on (i.e. financial status, emotional stability, intelligence, etc.). Here is what they found:
10. Los Angeles, CA- Although it may have a bad reputation, there are some perks. Los Angeles residents are some of the healthiest people in America. They also rank #3 in people earning an income over $100,000. LA is a large population, so if you can sift through the bad then you could strike gold!
9. & 8. Salt Lake City & Provo, Utah- Provo has the lowest rate of men who smoke and more than 40% hold a Bachelor's degree or higher. Utah serves up a selection of your good boys.
7. Denver, CO- According to a QualityHealth.com survey, it is the most sexually active city in America. I'm not sure if that is a bonus.
6. Bridgeport, Conn- It is ranked the 15th smartest city according to Forbes. Highly-educated men are bred here!
5. San Francisco, CA- Great city, great men! They have it all. The have a low obesity rate. A high intelligence ranking as the 9th smartest city in America. Plus, it ranks in the top 10 of men earning $100,000 annually.4. Fort Collins, CO & 2. Boulder, CO- Must be something in the air in Colorado!
3. Cambridge, Mass- Home to Harvard University it would certainly produce some smart men.
And #1. Bethesda, Maryland- What? It is the second smartest city in America according to Forbes, right behind Boulder, CO. It also has one of the lowest rates of smokers and heavy drinkers in the country. I just might have to go check it out!
Where was New York City?! I know I am biased, but there are plenty of great colleges here, high paying jobs, and New Yorkers are reportedly some of the healthiest people around since they walk everywhere!What do you think of the list? Is there a city you would add?

I've been to Fort Collins, Denver and Bethesda this summer (as well as multiple times over the years) and used to live close to LA, and I'd have to say I would heartily agree on all counts. I can tell you where they're NOT..where I currently live! Haha? Time to move! ;)
Bethesda is totally legit. I grew up around there and it is known for its excellence in everything. It's in Montgomery County, MD, which is where I live and MoCo is a great place too.
Mmm my boy is from Denmark. He has an accent, he's mature, and hot as hell!
And this whole thing is kind of biased. I mean, of course you want someone smart, but awesome colleges =/= smart. And how do you even gauge "smartness"? IQ tests are not that representative of someone's "smartness". And some women (like me) like chubby guys, and I'm sure others don't mind drinking/smoking. This whole study doesn't represent all the wants/requirements for a mate for all women in my opinion.
I have lived in San Francisco for a little over a year, and have yet to find a quality man. :[

but hmm. utah = mormons though right? sf = crazy canto dudes. MA = college dudes. LA = rich gang dudes. everywhere else = umm..... out in the middle of nowhere :/ haha.......... :PÂ
but anyway. what about the percentage of men who just lie or the percentage of divorce rates, blah blah ppl who moved there, age etc.
not to mention........ thanks for representing the population of women who don't want men. :(
nevertheless..... this list should be a rad list of cities to visit ;D
i don't know why all of these quality men are hanging around those lame cities when the place to find quality women=TEXAS :P

I remember reading somewhere that NYC is actually bad for single women (Sorry, Sex and the City!) because women outnumber men significantly there. That may explain why it didn't make it on the list. It's supposed to be better on the west coast for women, largely because cities like San Francisco and Seattle have male-dominated industries. But as a west coast girl, I beg to differ. It doesn't help the single ladies if the single men are socially awkward tech geeks who won't talk to a lady!

it's true about salt lake city...
granted, i dated a mormon --they are dedicated hardcore to family life (if you're into that) so that's really nice. didn't work out for distance, military, college, change in personality, change in dependence, etc. :( Still miss the jerk, kind of sad cuz one of the main reasons we didn't work was because he was working to make a better life for us. eh, oh well. :/ distance is a bitch.

Haha you thought new york would be on the list? I was praying that Chicago wasn't because I know for sure all the good men here are either hiding in trees or taken. Or moved to Canada ._.
