More Trends I Like (And Avoid)
Let's take a look at some clothing and accessory trends that have made their way into the mainstream:
1. Plaid
I used to really like plaid. But now, I avoid it (just like I avoid stripes). There are so many more flattering options than plaid. I'd rather were a plain t-shirt than a plaid pattern these days. There's just too much of it. Plaid shirt are enough, why add plaid shoes and sneakers, it just makes your outfit look messy and crowded.
2. Cross-Body BagsI love these! They are so awesome! I especially like the rectangular ones that look kinda flat. They are just great day bags that look cooler than the over-sized bag you have to lug on your shoulders that make people look awkward. Thumbs up.
3. Ankle BootsThese boots usually have heels and are pretty cute. I like how they make you feel. They don't give you the same feeling as knee-high boots, but more of a feeling of dancing.... Yeah. I like them all and all. Just don't get carried away and purchase ugly ones like this:
4. Kimono TopsOkay so I made this one up.. kinda. But hey, it could catch on.Or at least kimono-cut tops that aren't as flashy as these. But I also think these are cool.
5. Jean LeggingsLeggings that look like jeans... genius. They are comfortable and if worn right look like jean jeans. Just do not wear them like normal jeans! Layer them under a dress, skirt, or an over sized T.
What do you think of these "trends"? Would you wear them

hah i've made the mistake of wearing jean leggings as regular jeans.
i didn't even know at first :o
I didn't like any of these. =[
Jean leggings is a total fail.
tired of it already.
oooh! A picture of jean leggings that are actually denim leggings and not just super spandexy stretch jeans.
I would do them all except the last one. I didn't like these the first time they were a trend in my life time.
I don't like any of these.
kimono tops? those have been out for years.
I wear whatever I want, regardless of whether it's in or out of style. No one can tell me "oh you can't wear that, it's OUT OF STYLE" I mean, WTF. Clothes is clothes!
I agree that kimono tops like those have been out for at least 2/3 years & I didn't like them when they were in (they were only in when "Memoirs of a Geisha" came out I believe ...) though I have seen shirts with slightly oriental patterns and sleeves cut to give a kimono feel that I think are much better
jean leggings ... ewww ... that's just so weird
ankle boots <3 they are cute & yea, the weird ones you posted are just odd
I don't like those plaid shirts at all, they remind me of something a lumberjack would wear, not a girl
I don't really follow trends, but I do like plaid tops. I dig the lumberjack look.
I gotta admit I'm in love with plaid even though everybody & their mothers are wearing it these days.
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - same
I don't like any of these.
I've always loved cross-body bags, way before they were a trend. I've just never had a liking for purses.
yuck for all.
ew
lol. i use to love the bags. then stop liking them... maybe it'l start again later
I love them all except denim leggings....a waste! just wear jeans
Not so much the ankle boots (not a fan of heels), but I like the plaid and the kimono tops. :] I had to get used to seeing myself in plaid, though - I hadn't worn it since I was like seven!
ankle boots too high. I prefer flat boots.
i think plaid shirts can look good with the right outfit, other thrn that i'm not fan of any of these styles
jean legging are gross
& im not a fan of over the shoulder bags
but i LOVE plaid & ankle boots
i like plaid, i just can't wear it. the shirts won't button over my boobs.
i think ankle boots are cute on skinny girls, and jean leggings are ugly.
i only like plaid in moderation.Â
ankle boots are cute.
jean leggings are just.. lame.Â
plaid has certainly gone overboard and I love my ankle boots! (however the heel causes me to not wear them very often) I have a pair of jeans that have shrunk so tight they practically feel like leggings so the whole jean leggings trend is a bit amusing to me. I'm wearing them right now and I don't need to layer it underneath anything. Might as well just wear normal skinny jeans, people.
