  • "Worst 80's Fashions," Lovelyish? Try "Best!"

I have just read the post 10 Worst 80's Fashion Trends That Keep Coming Back! (Pt. 1/2) and was just slightly offended by the post.  Sure, some of the things mentioned in this post are terrible trends, but what about the ones that actually aren't that bad?

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with neon.  Sure, maybe you don't want an entire blinding outfit, but some pieces are ok.  Like maybe you do like the coloured denim trend.  I'm actually wearing purple jeans right now, if you must know.

And spandex pants are perfectly fine.  By the way, what you call so rudely a "'yoga' trend" is actually a calming sport that can help relieve you of stress in your life and help you get in shape.  Yoga pants are very comfortable and people enjoy wearing them.  Also, it makes people butts look good (mostly) and that's good.  Sure, fat people shouldn't wear tight clothes, but that what plus sizes are for.  Whatever you feel comfortable in you should wear.

Acid wash jeans may not be the best choice of legwear, but it's part of the distressed trend in a way.  I would wear jeans that were a little bleached, maybe not bleached all over, but a little.  Maybe you just need to read some fashion magazines.

Crimped hair can look good if you do it properly.  You shouldn't be crimping every single strand, but just some to add a fun flavour to your hairstyle.

What exactly is wrong with legwarmers and socks over pants?  My school wears red and gray socks over their pants to show team spirit.  If you repeatedly have issues with stepping on your pantlegs, there is nothing wrong with tucking them in.  And legwarmers really do keep your legs warm!  It can look cute with short heels and a dress for a casual Autumn day.

So, please.  Stop bashing us fashionable people and pick up a Flare or a Vogue and get in style.  We'll all appreciate it when you are no longer insulting us, but joining us instead.

What's your take on this debate?
