Bachelorette Parties: Would You Have One?
Bachelorette parties (or hen parties, if you're in the UK!) are a rite of passage for brides-to-very-soon-be. Traditionally held a week before the wedding, the bride's girlfriends will organize a fun, farewell-to-singlehood bash, ranging from anything to a tame dinner and party games to a more debauched night of barhopping and lap dances.
A lot of women would object to their fiance having a bachelor party, but how do you feel about having one for yourself? Would yours be wild, or just a simple night with friends? How do you feel about your future husband having a bachelor party?
Or, if you are married, did you have one?

my boyfriend and i have discussed this, should we ever get married. we're both going to have bachelor/bachelorette parties, but no strippers.
Hell yes! Of course. Wet and wild all the way. If my future husband is allowed to have it, I feel no problem having on myself.
not in Vegas after watching the Hangover!
Not really... I'm close with my bf (more so than any of my other friends), and I think if I were to have a pre-wedding party, it would include him and both of our guests... but would not include a stripper (male or female). My bf has stated in the past that bachelor parties don't interest him that much, that he'd rather spend that time with me<3 Which of course, makes me really happy :D
So, I'm guessing we'll be having a reharsal dinner/party before our wedding, not a typical bachelor/bachelorette party, and I'm good with that :)
i want one. lol.
My friend and I like to joke around that our bachelorette parties will be wild and will consist of the other drunk dancing on a table - that being said we're a long way off from being married (over 10 years)
It's 'hen night' not hen parties. ^.~
I didn't have one, but that is only b/c of where I live. If I lived in a more interesting city I think I may have had a bachelorette party. There was also the fact that the majority of my friends had children so it would have ended up being me and one other woman....wooo
Not really... I'm not all that interested in partying (and drinking) it up and clubbing... maybe that will change in a few years, but right now I'm not interested in having a bachelorette party at a club or strip club. Maybe just a nice dinner with a few of my closest girl friends. that would be nicer. As for my future husband, he could have a bachelor party cuz I'd trust him enough to not do anything stupid.
Probably. If he is getting one, why shouldn't i?
I would have one but it would not involve strippers or anything to the stereotypical bachelorette party. I'd just like to hang with my friends.
HELL YEAH I WOULD :)
I'm not really into parties right now, but a few years from now? Maybe.
I would rather not have one, but I'm pretty sure my friends would insist.
yes totally! i wanna throw my friend one an employ an old stripper like friend's phoebe's bac party! :P
Depends on who's paying it, but generally I'd probably just have a dinner at a favourite restaurant or something :)
I had one! It was night out with my girls. We dressed up, I wore a tiara, and a silver dress, we took pictures around the city, at an expensive restaurant, stayed at a nice hotel, went to another restaurant just for dessert. It was a blast! No strippers, but a great night with my girls.
i didnt have one .......but its because my wedding was ....unplanned. and only at the hall of records in san berdu.....due toooo.....my then fiance was leaving for a long time and HE didnt want to wait.
Maybe a small tame one. No strippers and craziness.
kind of. A few of my friends and i stayed in a hotel in Chicago for a couple nights. Nothing crazy though, we were only 18. haha
i'm not sure if i'll have one, but i know i won't be doing anything crazy because i want to have a memorable bachelorette party and be able to function the next day.
I don't know what my fiance wants, but he can do whatever he likes. I'm marrying him because I feel comfortable with whatever he wants...I guess... I want a bachelorette party. I want to go out with my friends and drink and party and not care...maybe some flirting might go on if I'm lucky (cause that's the single life and I'm saying my fond farewell to it!) But strippers are gross...mostly...real people turn me on and not just a hot naked body.
I recently threw a bachelorette party for a very close friend and we had a nice dinner, and then went to a gay nightclub. It was amazing. We danced in a cage with one of the "professional" dancer guys.
bachelorette parties are obnoxious.
