Is It Ever OK to Go Braless?
"Yes." - Barbra
I think all women would agree that bras can be pretty uncomfortable. Between poking wires, straps that dig in, poorly designed cups and too-tight claps, sometime it's tempting to ditch the whole thing altogether.
But what's the risk? If you're over a certain cup size, there's going to be some sagging involved. And for all of us, a camera flash can render our shirts instantly see-through, and if it gets cold out...well, let's just say you're pretty defenseless against the headlight situation.
So, do you ever go braless in public? Do you think only women with small boobs should do it?

I don't feel comfortable stepping out of my house braless, but I'm sure girls with perky ones would be ok as long as they are comfortable.
there's nothing wrong with going braless, even with bigger breast. just two things you need to do
1) wear a tank top under your shirt, if it's cold it takes care of the 'headlight' situation fairly well
and
2) if your breast are larger wear a shirt with a decent neckline. turtlenecks are going to make it look worse. exposing some of your neck and collar bones and such will downsize the 'sagging' thing.
also, if a bra is uncomfortable, wear a cami! they do everything but support much.
YES (it's okay).
I go braless in the summers sometimes, but usually only if I'm wearing a shirt with a shelf-bra. If I' wearing a hoodie over another shirt, I don't feel too bad going braless either. I'm around a B cup, but I used to be a C and that was definitely pushing it when I went braless.
I'd say the cutoff for braless is probably a B. Anything bigger, and it's going to be too distracting >.<
no bra to bed = appropriate. no bra in public = you look funny. unless you seriously have tiny boobs, but still, i think in every situation bras make you look better in the chest area (not padding, just in general). your bra shouldn't be uncomfortable... maybe try looking into other brands or types. i always wonder why people (especially large-chested women) go out with no bra... you sag and it isn't appealing.
plus, from a long term standpoint, the stretching and pulling on the skin covering your upper chest leads to more wrinkles and sagging when you age, which is only helped by not wearing a bra
In the summer I go braless quite often. Strappy shirts and stuff are more comfortable without a bra, but if it looks "funny" I'll go ahead with the strapless bra. I'd say it should be determined on a shirt-by-shirt basis.
I'm pretty much always braless. Bras are so constraining and they just don't feel right to me. I can never find one that fits right in ALL the places. So braless FTW!
I can't go braless, it hurts and mine aren't even that big. My bras are super comfortable for me, so I don't really get annoyed by them. I don't wear them to bed, but if I'm doing any activity I have to have one on, even if I'm not leaving the house.
I'm a D cup, and I go braless when I wear a tank top or sometimes if I'm just running to go get fast food or go to 7-eleven, I won't wear one. Also, depends on the outfit
i have very small and firm boobs so i often go braless. i wouldn't do it if they were any bigger...or like saggy. icky.
Buy me a bra I like, and I'll wear it. It kind of depends. If I am going to the convenience store or to the closest grocery store, I will go braless. Usually put a hoodie over everything no matter the weather. Otherwise, I'll wear my bra. If there are no men in the house, than I am taking off my bra. If there are and I'm already caught braless, out of some kind of bra burning inner vein, I will simply toss a blanket, hoodie, or shawl type blanket around me. Otherwise, I just wear them when I know the opposite gender is around. It's not that it's just plain rude to run around with no bra; it's that I am a girl scout and just like the boys I stay prepared. There are so many uses for the bra other than just offering some lift and a little back support. First of all, should you get yourself trapped inside the conference room at your office, you have an out. Your bra is the new tool belt. As is you can tear out the underwire and try to pick the lock. If that doesn't work, look outside for the laundry line and see if you can make the classic escape. Why don't they start making bra wallets. We already put our money in there. I want a spot for that and a place for each kind of change. Haha, jk. But serious, do they make a sports bra with a pocket for your ipod? Maybe another spot for come mace down the center...a place for a house key...a slot for an emergency bill...and a deliciously clever way to hide some lip gloss? I can see an awesome workout shirt with fake zippers over the breasts and everything else perfectly tucked away for runners. It would be so much better to hitting a clipped on article everytime you raise your hip.
Yes it's okay, but it depends on how the individual feels about what they're wearing. Some people just plain don't care if they have the hiding raisins or headlight look or if their breasts naturally sag - they're just breasts and we've all got them anyway. I don't think size is an issue. I have to say though, that based on that list of uncomfortable things to do with bras, if you have all those issues, you seriously need to be sized properly. Only then can you find a good, comfortable fit where you won't have all those complaints.
Mine are fairly small (A-B) but I always get the hiding raisins kind of look, so I never go in public without a bra. I never wear one at home though, since I'm almost always in my pajamas.
I go braless sometimes but never in front of family, uncomfortable! Haha
I haven't left the house without a bra since elementary school.
mine are not huge so sometimes when I'm wearing a halter top/dress I do go braless. but I make sure that the fabric isn't sheer!!
I am a fan of bralessness, but it would never be appropriate for me to tell someone that, so I'll say it here since I'm shrouded in anonymity. Yeah, bralessness!!
The only time I don't wear a bra is when I go to bed, or when I'm wearing a tank top with one built in. =P
mmhm.. i always have to wear a bra in public! it feels uncomfortable if i don't
I have an F cup so you'll never EVER see me out in public without a bra. If I did, I'd end up looking like one of the people of Wal*Mart. Honestly, if you a bigger than a B, I don't think you should do it, but if you want to, they are your breasts.
Only if I wear a tight, dark fitting tank top.
I've never done it. Not sure if I'll find it in me to do it ever.
What!?! It does not only concern the fact that your boobs will sag. Regardless of size, if it gets cold, your nipples will say hello!! Even without cold sometimes depeneding on the shirt. It is not ok! Unless your hanging out at home, or with good friends. Plus sometimes us girls with small boobs needs bras or we look flat.
I never go anywhere without a bra, I can't. But I think if your a A-B Cup it would be okay.... sometimes. But if your getting up there C-D, no not cool.
it is okay, as long as your shirt is thick enough and your boobs don't sag.
I always have to wear a bra! The only time I don't is when I'm sleeping or getting ready for bed. It just doesn't feel comfortable to be out in public without wearing one.
