WalMart Shoppers: A Gallery of Awful Fashion
In my ongoing quest to understand why people do many of the things they do, I received a timely email from my boss, the pictures of which I will share here. It's almost mind-boggling how thoughtless and inconsiderate we people can be...today, I am opening the topic of clothing, and whom better to scrutinize than the good shoppers of Wal Mart?
Admittedly, this a view into the minority of fashion (and some would argue decency) offenders, so, before I get flamed without mercy, bear in mind these images are not mine, they have been borrowed to provoke discussion, not to pass judgment on my part. That's what you're here for, dear readers!

Having said that, I leave the following for discussion: Is wearing such clothing in public acceptable? Should it be regarded as a freedom, things an individual should be able to wear at their discretion? Have you ever seen anyone out in public dressed like this or similar? How did/would you react, if at all?

man this brings back horrible memories of the times i had to go into a walmart T_T
I work at a walmart and sometimes its worse than what's here.
I just wonder what these people think when they look in the mirror in the morning?
Thats was sick to look at those! i must go rinse my eyes now :P
Oh god, I recently discovered that site, and it kept me entertained for a while. :)
People are crazy, they don't think (or they just don't care) when they go out in public. I've seen outrageous outfits but that swastika tops it, I think. As long as I can't see your underwear, or lack there of, you SHOULD be okay. ALSO, if you are a male, please, don't wear female clothing. I thought this was common sense, but oh no, it's not.
hahah Best post ever.
I see people like this when I go to Walmart too. I just don't know why they feel its okay to go out like that. I think people should try to be a little presentable. But wow..As for the offensive clothing..That just shouldn't be done.
But..Everyone has their opinions and views on what's okay.. idk. Can't stop them I guess.
lmao it looks like all the people at the walmart i shop at! where were these taken?
its worse at amusement parks... when bigger people wear bikinis but you cant tell if they are wearing anything...
that guy with the dick shirt shops at spencers... i just saw that shirt this weekend.
Ahhh I love peopleofwalmart.com!!
To me, whatever I don't care. It's amusing for me to look at. :P
LOL!
i never knew such a site existed!
OMFG... Wowza... While I wouldn't be so bold as to actually say something my intense desire to ask "Did you see yourself in a 360 degree mirror before you left home?" would be there. While admittedly I am a Wal Mart shopper myself, I wear shorts of an appropriate length and a nice shirt, sandals and never at any point in time are my "naughty bits" exposed. Sure, they've to a right to wear what they feel comfortable wearing but at what point is it a violation for my eyes? Where are my rights in all this? Aren't my rights to not see things being violated? I'm just sayin'...
why?! don't people own mirrors?!
Those pictures are so wrong on so many levels. Sure people have the right to dress however they want but you'd think they would respect themselves a little more and going into a public place wth children you'd think they'd cover themselves up and dress more approperietly.
@parkedxenergy@xanga - I work in a mall and everytime I work I ask myself that question *shakes head*
The guy with the dick shirt looks exactly like a teacher at my school, haha. Oh that'd be awkward if it was him.
oh my. the horror.
Have you been to a small town county fair recently? I've seen far worse than this.
There is a huge difference between wearing a shirt that someone else doesn't approve of or finds offensive, and wear ill-fitting clothes. If you see a shirt that has a saying on it, you might find it funny while someone else hates it. so no big deal there in my opinion,
but dressing in TOO small clothes and stripper outfits to go shopping is truly funny. One night after a game I was in wal-mart and saw a teenage girl in gold and sparkly clothes and 6" spike stilettos, she was grocery shopping with her mom, so it wasn't like she just ran in for something while out.
I think the one that really shocks me the most is the swastika. I've seen things like all the others, but never have I seen someone trying to make a swastika fashionable. O.O
I would be so repulsed....
There's no difference between dressing like that and public indecency.
Yikes!
thank god my city is too small for a wal - mart - we only have walGREENS
wow.... ahaha
That looks like my neighborhood Wal-Mart, haha. I've seen worse and honestly, it doesn't really bother me. I see the person for all of 2 seconds in passing, have a good lol sometimes, and carry on shopping. It's what they're wearing, not me, and if it causes them to get raped or beaten out in the parking lot well.. yeah. Guess they should start wearing decent clothes.
I'll wear PJ pants and one of my boyfriend's shirts to Wal-Mart if it's late and we need condoms or something lol. Wal-Mart just brings out the lazy in me. =]
woah,,,
hahahaha
that shouldn't be allowed. seriously, a swastika? and your underwear is showing, helloooooooo.
rule number 1: be classy.
rule number 1 was broken.
