Hot or Not: Neon Pink Lipstick
The Body Shop held its second Bloggers' event in London this week. The venue, Sketch, was incredible and it was lovely to finally meet all the people behind the fabulous blogs I read every day. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time to do as much chatting as I would have liked, but hopefully there will be more chances in the future for this!
My favourite lipstick is number 59, Neon Pink, which Chase Aston used at the event on a model to create an eighties inspired makeup look. I have never, ever before found a lipstick that isn't nude (or baby pink) that I have been comfortable wearing. For me bright lips have always been a bit of a no-no and I have always played it safe with pale shades.
On Friday night I went out with my friend Phoebe and for the first time in my life I WORE A BRIGHT LIPSTICK!
I just adore this colour, it is very bright and very pink with a purple undertone. The formulation of these lipsticks is very light which makes them so wearable. I found that it lasted quite a long time on my lips too which I was surprised by as I must have had a drink in my hand all evening. I loved my first public bright lip experience and am looking forward to trying out all the other shades.
