Would You Wear a Male-Bashing T-shirt?

There are lots of great feminist t-shirts out there, but this one just crosses the line for me.
At what point does feminism become more about belittling men than empowering women? This shirt just comes across as bitter and angry, as opposed to confident and strong.
Do you think feminism ever gets too mean? Would you wear this shirt?

Feminists scare me.
I prefer the old school feminists that fought for rights, rather than promoting themselves above men. :/i think im mentally slow at the moment
i dont get it -w-
That has nothing to to with feminism at all.
It just reminds me of the shirts middle-school girls wear.
@scarletchord@xanga - me too :\
Femisinism is messed up now
@scarletchord@xanga - i agree.
@scarletchord@xanga - Ditto
Sigh...this is what we get when men thought they were superior...
The tables better not turn and make it a female-powered society we're going through, cause I support EQUALITY.
@scarletchord@xanga - me too >.<
@scarletchord@xanga - Amen. I second that.
feminism tends to be a bunch of. . . catty women belittling men instead of fighting for equal rights.
Lolll. It's all for the sake of humor in my opinion. Men always have jokes that belittle women, so why can't we have jokes that belittle them? I have a key chain that says "Men have feelings too but who really cares?" My male friends aren't offended by it (:
Feminism has been taken to a whole new level. It was great when it was about women's rights and all that, but now it's more pertaining to intelligence and whatnot. A lot pettier.
@ordinary_gir1@xanga - It means that they want animal testing to be done on men, not animals. Because there are so many men that they can do it on.
Things like this are funny to an extent. I think it's all gotten pretty old though. Can't we all just get along?!
@ordinary_gir1@xanga - it took me a couple minutes to wrap my head around this too
some punctuation would really help the shirt lol, it means to say "since there are billions of men, why test animals?"
I would never wear this shirt. I love men, and I see how my husband feels when people say shit like this. They really do have feelings, and they can be hurt.
please don't call this feminism.
it's not feminism, and anyone who mistakes it as such doesn't understand feminism's intentions or fails as a feminist. that's a terribly offensive shirt, and a person hoping for some semblance of equality should never advocate its message.
shit like this gives feminism a bad name. sigh.
this looks like a bunch of rubbish a 12 year old heart broken girl would wear...
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - Agreed. There's feminism, and then there's straight out male-hating bitchiness. I'm a feminist, which means I look for equality. Neither gender should be put down nor placed on a pedestal for the opposite to bow down to.
Terrible sentence structure aside, that's a pretty stupid shirt, I will say that. I try not to wear stupid shirts on a general basis, but I do own an anti-feminist one which anyone who was old enough to remember the late 80s to 90s gets because it's purely a joke. (NO MA'AM - and the fact that I wear it and am female-identified just looks silly. I wear it for gags as a huge Married with Children fan and people know I don't mean it.)
If taken seriously I think it is incredably mean. I think too much femenism is just annoying. If taken jokingly I think the shirt is kind of funny. As a joke I like the shirt.
uh i dont get it. is it supposed to be "Billions of Men. Why Test Animals?" the missing punctuation totally makes this shirt seem dumb. but anyways, i think the shirt is offensive and rude.
Eh. All in good fun :)
This could be mean...
but I see it on more of the funnier side..
Ha, I had to laugh as I was reading this article "Womanizer" by Britney Spears came on my radio.
Anyways, I think people try to make sure that when they have a voice, they are heard and make a strong statement but then they take it too far.I think as far as shirts go, a lot of them are vulgar and push the limit, but some are still funny.
wow that's.. mean... but no, because that costs money to buy the shirt. and plus, i am pretty much a guy in a girl's body. guys are cool beans.
@lex - dude that's what i thought too! i was pretty confused for a second and it did not seem funny at all with the lack of punctuation...
@samaramaa@xanga - :o :o :o omg thank you for the explanation :)
