Plus-Sized Model Appears Un-Airbrushed in Glamour Mag!
Hey....her stomach looks like mine!
Glamour is receiving kudos from women everywhere for featuring a gorgeous plus-sized model in its September issue...totally un-Photoshopped.
According to the magazine:
Lizzi's previous shoot
"The woman on p. 194" is actually 20-year-old model Lizzi Miller, and this is her second appearance in Glamour, shot by fashion photographer Walter Chin. A size 12-14 and avid softball player/belly dancer ("I like exercising when it's fun"), Lizzi moved to New York City from San Jose three years ago to become a model (a "plus-size" one by modeling industry standards, though hello, at size 12 she's actually "normal size"...but I digress). "
Are those stretch marks, too? Hooray! We think Lizzi looks amazing (she's had two kids!), and it's beyond refreshing to see a normal, healthy and happy woman in one of these mags!
Do you like the picture? Does it make you feel better about your looks?

wow, i'm so glad they're doing this :)
again. KUDOS!
@TheTheologiansCafe@xanga - i actually read about it on my fave celeb gossip blog. no copying! didn't realize you had posted on it!
Plus size? Uhh...
@TheTheologiansCafe@xanga - haha, i honenstly don't go on that list very much because i'm always too busy with lovelyish. :) this is where i read about it.
Makes me feel like less of a fatass :), I approve! Can we have more normal people please?
All us "normal" people are plus size?! T__T
She looks really good. Really healthy. :D
she looks amazing :D
so who exactly designated certain sizes as plus or otherwise? She doesn't look like a "plus-sized" anything. She's beautiful. This has completely changed my view of what plus-size is.
THAT'S "Plus Size" !?
Well hell, nothing wrong with that.
Yay for Glamour !
she looks healthy and happy. YAY
Kudos, Kudos!
Love love love this :) Saw it a few days ago and fell in love with it!
Yea she does look great! But of course I must see the bad in everything. WHY is it that they decided not to photoshop or apply airbrush to a plus side model? Was she not good enough for it or are we finally going all natural on the cover when it comes to plus size models.
Kudos - but I admit this... when I first saw the pic, except for her belly, I thought... "Wait, she's PLUS SIZE?" I mean... really. What's our world coming to when THAT is considered plus size? She's beautiful and sexy (no, not saying large women can't be either ... I'm just pointing it out), and yet she's considered "PLUS SIZE" because she happens to have a bit of a pooch? ::steamed:: We live in a twisted society.
She looks great :)
I love it, but it doesn't change how I feel about my looks at all. They could put a picture of my clone in a magazine and I'd still not like how my body looks.
:] I like that picture. yay for glamour
She looks so pretty and happy~ o: .
she's beautiful. i like that glamour ditched the airbrushing. but we really don't need a picture to feel better about ourselves. that would be pretty weak.
She looks SO gorgeous and she looks genuinely happy, unlike some of the pouty stick-thin girls that constantly grace fashion mags these days.
She doesn't look plus-size. It's a shame that women her size are labeled as "plus size" when they're probably the majority of the female population.
More of this in the media would be a nice change. It's something new and I think she looks pretty. =)
