Why I think Crow's Feet are Beautiful
I used to have an obsession with how horrible wrinkles are. I thought they were the enemy and to be avoided at all costs. Of course, we would all love to be wrinkle-free for the rest of our lives, I happen to think that crow's feet are beautiful in so many ways.
When I moved in with my boyfriend 2,200 miles away from home, I was immediately introduced to a whole new way of life. His family is Hispanic, and they are vastly different from my very small family. While his family is huge and full of life and rowdy kids, mine was just 5 people. He has tons of aunts and uncles and cousins. I don't.
After getting to know everyone and seeing them regularly, I noticed a trend. At every event we all laugh until we cry, and I often leave the parties they have for birthdays or holidays with a sore face. I would smile and laugh so much the entire night, that I would have a sore throat the next day and my cheeks would be tender. Weird, right? Apparently its that way for the rest of his family too. All of his aunts and uncles have crows feet! No other wrinkles really, but crows feet.
My boyfriend told me that they were caused by smiling. When high cheekbones continuously lift your face to form those little crinkles around your eyes, you develop crows feet. I found it amazing that these people had smiled so often, that they developed them. Its a sign of a happy life, a full life. What is more beautiful than that? I hope one day when I'm old that I too have crows feet (just not the ones that reach to my ears or whatever. HAHA) because I want people to look at me and think "Wow, she's a genuine happy person. She must smile a lot." It's the little things like that which make me feel so charmed by people. Imperfections truly create a masterpiece.
What do you think about crows feet or "smile lines"? Do you have them? Do you find them beautiful?

I do. I agree. They mean you smile a lot. What could be more beautiful?
I'm 19 and I'm certain it won't be long until I have some...I don't mind.
I agree completely! Whenever I see men with such lines, I find myself swooning.
:) I sooo liked this blog. Crow's feet are beautiful.
they are gorgeous! i also think they accentuate the eyelashes... it's like extra mascara lol.
@whowantstoloseit@xanga - My boyfriend has little ones and they are so cute. It's adorable when he grins.
i may only be 17 but i think i see the beginning of some on myself! lol
What a sweet post! I agree!
I do actually think crow's feet are the best type of wrinkles you can have.... laugh lines around your lips, too. :)
Yay! I have ALWAYS loved crows feet! I'm so glad to see I'm not alone!
I'm only 28 and I now have crow's feet. I do smile a lot!!
Don't have any.
Crows feet are alright.
I like laught lines though.
Aww, that's sweet. :]
I completely agree!
Earning wrinkles is part of maturing, so I'm ok with them. Laugh lines seem to run in my family more than crow's feet, so I'll see what happens..haha.
ughhh i must say i hate my crow's feet...
I simply adored this post.
Thank you for writing it!
@whowantstoloseit@xanga - same! i love crow's feet.
I've always thought crow's feet were attractive, even before I knew that they were caused by smiling.

I don't have any problem with wrinkles. Â I like crows feet too :)Â
