  • I Want My Skin To Be Lighter

Skin whitening in the Asian continent is big.  As in really big!  Snow White is a major icon. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration.  But I think that gets the point across perfectly. Asian women are always in search of the most effective whitening products. Dozens of cosmetic lines claiming to turn people pale have been launched, creating confusion among the consumers.

Being a Filipina, I've been on this hype. I have personal reasons why I want my skin to be lighter (not white). It goes way back to when I was a kid. I was teased and called a monkey (I'm very hairy). That being said, I've spent years in search of the most effective and safest way to lighten skin. Until I found Kojic soap.

I've been using the Kojic Whitening soap for about four months now. And guess what? I'm a few shades lighter!  Here are non-photoshopped photos of me before and after Kojic soap.

This is what my skin looks like in yellowish light.

I know that in this last photo, the sun may have taken me a few shades lighter.
But in the daylight, my skin looks like this.  I only put on a translucent powder here.

The only disadvantage is that if you use too much (twice a day is prescribed), your skin can get irritated and turn red. I've tried washing it more than twice for a week and my skin turned crimson red!  And for really sensitive skin, it can be tingly.

Would you try this soap?  Do you think I look better with a more tan complexion or with a lighter skin?
