Are you Addicted to Celeb Gossip?

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is turn on my laptop and read my emails. After that, I check the following sites:
imdb.com
people.com
perezhilton.com
instyle.com
fashionista.com
gawker.com
huffingtonpost.com
x17online.com

I could go on but I think most of you get the point. I think it's because I'm nosy : (
I like knowing what's going on at all times. It's not the most admirable trait but I can't help it. While I make it a point to be well informed about politics and world news in general, I'm such a gossip junkie, celeb news addict, Perez follower, whatever.

It's so weird and disturbing that I'm more likely to log onto popsugar.com then I am to cnn.com. So I want to know if this is normal.

Are you more likely to check a news website or a gossip/ celebrity news website?

I'm not, but my roommate is. She keeps me updated on celebrities that I've never even heard of or care for. Occasionally I'll read something on Oh No They Didn't!, but that's out of pure boredom.
PS: Hate Perez Hilton. Sorry.

lol. maybe a little bit. i read my fair share of magazines. (when i sign in, i check taylor lautner daily; notcouture.com; the livejournal communities lautnerr, sortofbeautiful, clary_jace, and tmi_lovers; the skinny; thebudgetbabe.com; bleubirdvintage.typepad.com; gaiaonline.com; wardrobe_remix; and then xanga. if any one out there cares, lol.)
and, yeah, celebrity gossip IS kind of pointless, but... that's okay. i never ever ever go on a news site.

I am addicted to celeb gossip. I buy way to many magazines, bought 5 today at work. haha. I'm addicted to perezhilton.com

BUT, I also really enjoy reading the newspaper and watching the news, I like knowing what's going on in the world.

I can't stand Perez Hilton. And no I'm not a big fan of gossip mags (I like Cosmo lol). I like my morning and newspaper (preferrably the Life section since it has comics, horoscopes and advice columns haha). I do LOVE The Soup, I wouldn't consider it gossip though it's more making fun of everyone moron who gets gossiped about haha

I have a subscription to Us Weekly and recently went cold turkey off Perez Hilton. LOL. I decided that I really didn't need a daily fix of stupid celebrity stories. Now I just crack out on Friday when my magazine comes in the mail.

its all about TMZ for me. i have to have my daily dose of TMZ every weekday. and then on saturdays when i'm out shopping, i usually pick up a us weekly, people, etc... magazine and read it while i'm standing in the long check out lines. =)

and as for me. celebrity sites are not the first ones I go to when I am online but I like to read the bios of celebs I like on wikipedia But gossip...it's most of the time not true and pretty boring.

I've never seen the point. I'm not interested in someone's life unless I actually know them. And even then, I'm not very big on gossip. When I hear someone "juicy" about someone else, the first thing I do is wonder how I'd feel if someone knew something that "juicy" about me.

I suppose it's relief, to some, to be obsessed with celebrity gossip... But since I don't believe 99% of what's printed, buying those magazines always seemed like a waste of money, to me. Maybe if I really needed a good laugh...
