Looking for some extra help with your diet? Try putting on a little more lip gloss.
New York based
PurpleLab has come out with a line of lip glosses called
Huge Lips Skinny Hips that uses an appetite suppressant to help wearers fight off culinary temptations and a lip plumper for an added beauty boost.
The appetite suppressant in Huge Lips Skinny Hips is hoodia, which comes from a cactus-like South African plant. According to PurpleLab and other supporters, it makes users feel fuller and will curb their desire to munch on food. The surface of the lip is very thin and can absorb the suppressant easily, not to mention all of the lip gloss we accidentally ingest by licking our lips and eating. PurpleLab estimates that women ingest up to nine pounds of lipstick in their lives—yikes!
I find appetite suppressants to be a little bit scary. Like diet pills, they seem to be based in some sort of magical science that no one can fully understand or support. There are plenty of people who swear by hoodia's effectiveness and this product would be a pretty easy way to give it a try. The lip gloss also touts a lip plumper that helps smooth and fill out lines in the lips. I've never been one for lip plumpers because I don't want to end up looking swollen or feeling like my lips are paralyzed. However, a friend commented that the light tingling sensation could come in handy to let her know when she needed to reapply!
Would you try lip gloss with an appetite suppressant? What about a lip plumper?

I would try it at least!
mind over matter!
i'd try it.
they copied Victoria's Secret lip gloss idea. i had ordered it + i liked it a lot but it didn't help me curb my appetitie any.
i would definitely try it!!
i'd try it if its affordable.
I'd say it seems worth a try.
Sounds like it'd work. If I was the sort of girl who cared about lip gloss and spending money, I guess I'd try it.
I think it's kind of sad though.Big Lips Skinny Hips... the image it puts in my head is some model, basically the epitome of a girl with eating disorders up the ying yang... I think it's what a lot of girls want, sadly, and I can relate... and it's kind of messed up that the media is just feeding them more into this social standard.
I wouldn't mind trying it. If it was at a reasonable price.
i would try it.
Why would you put this substance in a lip gloss when you can get hoodia in a diet pill ?
i def try....wouldnt hurt. but i bet its expensive. like 30 a lipgloss
I don't believe in appetite suppressors. It's a stupid easy-way-out. Just exercise, eat filling/low-calorie foods. :T
Just because it's convenient doesn't mean it's good. Antiperspirants/deodorants are actually bad for you, since they counteract the body's natural systems and interfere with your body's balance. Antibacterial soaps and antibiotics build up immunity and leave the body more vulnerable to greater damage by stronger bodies.
There have been tons of weight loss "miracles" making their debut in recent years. Just as with the others, I don't buy it.
food is one of life's pleasures. why resist?
Hoodia will NOT work for you, unless you are completely determined to change your lifestyle along with it. There is no miracle... Only choices. My research on hoodia lead me to come to the understanding that hoodia has a chemical in it similar to glucose, but the effect is multiplied on the brain so you're chemically inclined to believe you are full... So you're not as willing to eat... Being on hoodia is weird. You're kind of hungry... but you look at food like a test. "If I eat this much, I'll still be healthy, but thinner." It becomes much simpler to look at food without raising eyebrows and rubbing your stomach. But the mind is also a role in weightloss. If you believe that what you're doing, without a doubt is going to make you thinner, and remain positive about the process. It's almost like magic. Train your mind to be skinny, and have your skinny pills. It'll all work out. But research ALL ingredients. One ingredient might make you fuller now, but the next ingredient might also make you hungry later. Drug companies follow the philosophy, "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer". They'll have you believe that you're their friend.
No, I rarely wear lip gloss as it is (mainly cause my bf, though he loves how it makes my lips look, is not a fan of how it makes his lips sticky when he kisses me lol).
@my_secret_diary_xx@xanga - Yes, I agree. As long as its cheapish I would try it
HELL FUCKING NO. I'm skinny enough as it as and my lips are full enough as it is.
amazing!
Id try it hell yea.. lolllllll
that is awesome.
@journalofsparkles@xanga - I think this makes it a little more accessible. For people who always wear lip gloss, it's making the whole appetite suppressant thing available without making it an extra step in their routine.
Still, I wouldn't try it. I agree with the rest who said dieting is about self-control and exercise!
Huh, that sounds really interesting. I don't know if I'd try it because I am not really a fan of lip plumpers , but the appetite suppressant part sounds good.
you've got to be kidding me. this is no way going to help anyone loose weight and for anyone that tries this is obviously too lazy to pick up a pair of weights and work to accomplish their weightloss goal themselves. people need to move...people need cardio, strength training, etc.. in thier lives. the world is slowly spiraling down to pure laziness and lack of motivation to do anything these days. so to answer the question: absolutely not. i believe in working to achieve your goals; not just having it handed to you in a way that isn't going to help you stay healthy...just thin, bony, weak, and frail. (that is if it even works)
