Did You Wear High Heels in High School?
School is starting pretty soon. I'm going to be a senior, so I really want to dress more mature and sophisticated. I'm already doing my new school wardrobe shopping. I was wondering, would it be okay to wear high heels in school? Most of my wardrobe consists of skinny jeans and high heels. I don't want to spend the whole year wearing sandals. I don't wear sneakers or tennis shoes.
Some obstacles would obviously be stairs, the amount of time spent walking from classroom to classroom, and whether the faculty would judge high heels as inappropriate.Did you ever wear high heels in high school? Did you ever have problems with this?

@Inside_theMINDof_ManRuitian@xanga - One can be smart, responsible, interesting AND have a nice wardrobe. Fashion isn't a terribly consuming interest. . .
@Pistol_Addams@xanga - it's completely possible and I have friends who pulled it off, you just have to make sure that fashion isn't your first priority and that schoolwork and friends come first.
I wore heels a couple of times. It did help me to look more professional and helped boost my confidence for presentations and a couple of big exams. But I didn't do it everyday.
there were girls that did wear high heels all the time cause they felt it was "more comfortable", but then i think that's false. how can walking in high heels all day be more comfortable than flats or sandals. if you wear high heels all the time, i feel that it wont be special when you actually wear it for a special occasion. sophistication is for college and older, i feel like. so save your feet from the pain, and just what you feel is most comfortable but cute.
I'm a sneakers person.
But I did have a friend that wore heels nearly every day to school; she had a reputation for being clean, confident, and knowing how to dress... and we had uniforms.

and who doesnt want to look cute, especially in the harsh highschool halls.
dont forget flats, uggs, boots ... besides just sandals

No, we wear uniforms during high school here in the Philippines.. We are required to wear black leather shoes.. :)

i wore heels for me entire senior year in high school. often i got asked if i was the substitute teacher.
I didn't wear high heels every single day but at least once a week. The teachers didn't seem to care, but don't wear loud heels and not expect people to look.
Wear heels you will look wonderfu, heels look great with any outfit
i know a couple of girls that do. as long as you look cute and casual, its ok. just don't overdo it to where it looks like you going to a formal event everyday. i just don't know how to walk in heels, otherwise i would! :) btw, i'm gonna be a senior too! its so exciting!
i never wore heels since i have to go up and down the stairs alot, why not flats or wedges?
yes i did wear heels, but there's a fine line between whats appropriate at what's not. wedges i think are totally fine since they're more casual and comfortable. anything with a heel that's under 3 inches should be ok as well. save the fancy strappy heels for the school dance. ;]
i grew up watching hilary duff in "lizzie mcguire" and that's where i first started my fashion sense. she would wear wedges or some cute pumps that weren't too tall, and some boots. so that's what i went with.
