Airports and Duty Free Makeup: Beauty Meccas?
One of my favorite parts of a holiday is getting to raid the duty free in the airport on the way home …well, if I have money! Luckily, our London weekend ended up being really cheap so I arrived at Stansted with £60 in my purse *cue crazy-happy running towards the Benefit counter*
And what to my wondering eyes did appear? Benefit’s Smokin’ Eyes …it’s changed my life.

I have never EVER managed to achieve a smokey look as perfect as the one I achieved when I tested this out at home.
Je suis very happy.
Also included on my purchasing list was Bluff Dust for my persistent flushing!
This too is incredible!

Do you ever buy beauty products at the airport?

I went on vaca and saw makeup stacked in airport stores, but I don't understand buying makeup at the airport. on the other hand, this lady was stocking up. is it the same as the counter? what's the difference?
i don't know what is that :S
i love benefit! they dont have fancy colour eyeshadows or lipgloss, but they hide ur flaws realli well! simple & nice! LOVE IT!
They sell beauty products at the airport? I've never been to an airport.
@jesuismir@xanga - Shopping at duty-free shops has its perks: many of the items may be unique to the location you're at, not available at your local shops, many times cheaper compared to counter prices, and no tax!
I dont really use makeup.
reminds me of my asia trip. loads of makeup stations
Yup, I bought a MAC makeup kit in Barbados at at duty free store (not in the airport though). It is a convenient little kit with mirror, brush, 2 lip colors and 3 eye shadows! I had not seen them where I live so I snapped it up
I remember when I flew to Korea, the L.A. airport had SUCH beautiful duty free store that looked almost like a mall. That was only one time I've seen such a place, the airports I usually land in are small ones that don't have fancy duty free make up shops. :*(
lol. i love buying things at airports :D omg. i'm always running up and down at starbucks buying books for the flight...which remninds me they have the cutest bookmarks :D lol Make-up is really fun too..lol. *sigh* i guess perks of being a girl? lol
I had no idea they sold makeup at the airport.
Too bad I'm not planning on flying anywhere anytime soon.
That's where they are the most expensive, so no.
i usually get out of the airport as soon as i land so no.... or booze. maybe perfume but dutyfree isn't exactly cheap so i'd more likely just leave asap.
Actually the airports' duty free shops offer cheaper prices compare to retail shops and they usually have some limited editions or collections that can't be found elsewhere. And if you're working for an airline, they normally give a further 10%-20% discount when you show them your ID card.
I'm always in a rush when I'm flying, so I've never had the chance. I've never noticed any cosmetics stores in TIA, though they do have clothing and sunglasses places. I know there's a LUSH store in OIA, but the only time I ever flew outta there the place was jam-packed so I had to skip it :(
I live where makeup is tax-free
I bought my camera at the airport. Beauty products...sometimes.
I love the Benefit Smokin Eyes! I felt the same way you did. I bought mine from Sephora though. I always look at the duty free shops in the airports but for some reason never buy anything. I should take advantage of the tax-free products :)
