Cutting Your Bangs
I get sick of my hair easily. Typically, I have a hair plan and have my perms, coloring and haircuts evenly spread out. But since I currently don’t have a stylist that I truly trust, I have to take care of business on my own every now and then.
Such as cutting my own bangs! I just wanted a little change—so I went to the store and bought some nice hair scissors (and yes, you should use real hair cutting scissors!) and chopped off a few layers. Honestly—it’s just hair. If it sucks, I’ll wear a handband for the summer and it’ll grow back!
Have you ever cut your own hair? Or do you swear by your hair salon/stylist?

I cut my bangs all the time and trim my own split ends.
i'm constantly cutting my own hair.
Cut my bangs all the time :]
I just cut my own bangs, it's not too hard.
Right now im trying to grow out my hair,
But before, i had a neighbor cut me some side bangs when i was 14/15. Im almost 20 now and ive been triming them myself since then. I also gave myself layers in the front. But the very ends i have my Mommy cut for me =].
i cut all my hair myself. i always have.
so i went to cosmetology school and found out that i had taught myself actual techniques that stylists use. for me, it was all common sense. i don't trust anyone but myself with my hair.
most of my friends, and sibling's friends, won't go to a stylist because they like how i cut hair better.
they weren't full bangs. they didn't even look good on her.
Yeah, i don't really believe in stylists anymore. I just cut my own hair. It all started when my hair was getting a bit too long; it really bothered me, and my mom likes this stylist but it takes like a month in advance to get an appointment in; so i just hacked it all off and thought, hey - i did a pretty good job! So now i cut my own hair all the time.
I'm cutting my hair until I feel un-poor enough to go to a trustworthy, not-ridiculously-expensive salon.
I always cut my own hair. I don't trust anyone else xp
i will never cut my own bangs ever again. i once cut my bangs myself and they were really super straight and ugly, so i hid them using hair clips all the time. but one day, i forgot to hide my bangs, my sister saw my hair and she laughed. my bangs were ridiculously funny. i think i just dont have the talent of cutting hair.... :(
zig zag. I'll keep that in mind.
i always cut my own bangs. everyone likes them, but sometimes, i mess up :(
I cut my own hair all the time. I get complimented on it by friends and at work, too. :) I think you can do it.
I sometimes cut my hair, but other than that I always go to the stylist to get a good cut (I can't trust myself!)
i loved it i will try it. it is the perfect thing that i am looking for! thx muches <3
I cut my own bangs all the time.
i cut my own bangs. and do not trust the salonist!! i went to one and she chopped up all my long hair. i looked like a boy.
i cut my own bangs when i have no time to go to the salon =)
I always cut my own fringe and leave the rest of my hair longer. :D
I've cut my own hair. It turned out pretty good, but I got a trim today to make it more even. :)
Looks cute! I would never cut my own hair though, I'd be too afraid I'd mess up! :(
I cut my own hair for a few years when I was around 16. I've never loved my hair as much since, even though it was rather atrocious looking back at the way I did it! (no real method, just hacked at it with a razor to get the layers in it..lol) I've tried cutting bangs a few times but they've never come out well... so I still to a hair dresser to tidy it up. Still don't like it though..
you got the right idea with it, i would think. 'cause i do my bangs very similar. i made too many mistakes of cutting them straight, even though i did it at a diagonal. it was very blunt. but now i just go down at an angel since i have more of a swoosh bang, and as i'm going down i just move the scissors a few millimeters up and down as a go, in little bits at a time. it makes 'em all "even" in the sense they aren't completely different lengths, but then this way too they are more natural and not blunt.
I ALWAYS cut my own hair (: its the best way to get what you really want, imo
