Pictures of the Week: Art Edition
Michelle O'Shea
Last week I had the chance to call in to the Crawford College of Art & Design Degree Show - Site 46. Its always an interesting show to see and this year's exhibition seemed to have a particularly high standard of work, and was well produced with a lovely glossy catalogue and a great website. So I decided to share just a few of the highlights of the show. Please follow the links to read what the artists themselves say about their work and to see some better photos than my quick snaps!
Dee O'SheaWhat do you think of the different pieces? Do you have a favorite?Guest blog submitted by Missmilki

I think that most of these are really lovely, but I don't think that I have any favorite.
i mean they;re not bad. and it's wonderful. but it's not my favorite either
Well, there are several AWESOME pieces that I like but I can't choose a favorite.
I'm not particularly impressed by any of those you chose to put on this blog, but the Hurley piece here is probably my favorite because it makes me think that if Monet and Renoir had a love child, that's what his (her?) paintings would look like. :)
The door and teacup sculpture is interesting in its seemingly perilous nature.
Mary, April, and Tom captured me the most out of these.
i think Oonagh Hurley's is my favorite. =]
Love the last one =)
Love the flowers pictures.
that second picture looks like something taken by someone who just bought their first digital camera.
i really like o'callaghan's. wonderful.
many of these are amazing but i really don't like the first one. idk it looks really weird
There's some interesting work here. I really like the one by Sinead Hehir, it reminds me of Salvador Dali.
i love the one by Louise Hogan
Love the first one. It's so abstract :) It must've taken forever to put together. The one by Oonagh Hurley is also really good. I
I loved Hehir's...the colors in it are fantastic and there's so many variations..I also like the sculpture by O'Shea..It was really cool
