Perfect Pillow: How to Choose It
When selecting a pillow, whether soft, medium, or firm -- the most important consideration is the position in which you sleep. Soft pillows are ideal for stomach sleepers, who need pillows that slope gently in order not to strain the muscles in their necks. Medium pillows, which gently cradle and support the head, are a great choice for back sleepers. For side sleepers, firm pillows are a perfect choice, as they hold their shape and thus support the neck and spine.
How you ever thought about what pillows you use? What kind of sleeper are you?

I need the fluffy, cushion-y ones from Ralph Lauren, haha =)
I flip between stomach and side. :/ How do I get a soft/firm pillow? I don't. I have both! :D
this is so ironic. i just went out and bought a pillow earlier today... i am a stomach and side sleeper as well. i settled on the sealey postrapedic firm pillow !
i do think about my sleeping habits when purchasing new pillows. i'm mostly a stomach sleeper and sometimes a side sleeper so most likely i would need a firm yet soft pillow according to what it says above. in a lot of the stores i've been in, they actually recommed purchasing a medium pillow for myself because i'm a usual stomach sleeper. but lately it seems as if i've just given all hope on a good pillow. i get tired of sleepless nights sometimes because of pillows becoming flat constantly and no matter how much money i end up spending on a pillow, they still turn flat in a couple of weeks. so i would say that my major issues dealing with pillows isn't just my sleeping habits anymore; now its also about how long the darn pillow will last. =(
I have a latex Beautyrest pillow and I love it :)
I want that room in the picture. :) It's so simple and fresh.
I fall asleep on my stomach with one leg bent like a flamingo and my arms curled up against my body (or hugging a "middle pillow"), but I actually sleep on my back or side.
I prefer medium to slightly soft pillows.
I have one firm and one soft pillow. I start out sleeping on the soft one (on my stomach) then when I get up in the middle of the night I am extremely nauseated from my medicine, so I go back to sleep on my side with the firm, cold pillow.
im a all over sleeper. i sleep on my back, side, and stomach. mostly on my side
i love really really soft ones. i hate hard/firm pillows. the one my mom has. i dont like it.. ><
I love ALL pillows <3
im a side sleeper, sometimes back... i dont really mind much about my pillows but i need at least two pillows to sleep.
yeah, I never really thought about the pillows I'm sleeping on... I sleep differently every night... so I'm all 3 types of sleepers I suppose. I just buy new pillows every time they wear down and lose their puffiness, or get flat.
i have a minimum of 4 different types of pillows on my bed because i'm one of those people who sleeps on their back, stomach & side!
I'm a side sleeper and I LOVE the firmest pillows I can find. I hate soft pillows.. I feel like my head gets buried in them.
wow, i never thought about it! i guess we need a mix of pillows since my bf is a side sleeper and i am a back sleeper =)
@sunshinesasha@xanga - get a lot of flat ones... my b/f uses 2 pillows but in each pillow case he has 2 thinner ones... so he's really using 4 pillows... i hate flat pillows too... i hope this helps you!
i never really thought about the perfect pillow. i'm quite picky too when it comes to pillows because i like one that's firm but i'm a stomach sleeper majority of the time. right now, i have a therapeutic pillow which i love and take everywhere i go.
I'm a back and a side sleeper, but I prefer my pillows to have some give so I like mediums.
What if you sleep on your stomach, back, and side? [Though I heard that sleeping on your back is best for you, as gravity pulls down and so your skin is slightly pulled down on both sides, therefore stretching the skin to the sides, slightly slightly.]
I'm a stomach and side sleeper.
Yeah I'm a side and back sleeper, I used to work at a retail store so I had to learn about pillows... and then I bought one for myself with a discount. Yippeee! =D
I sleep on my back most of the time, once in awhile on my side. And I don't worry about pillows, we just buy the cheapest ones they have at walmart, and replace them as needed. I really don't have any trouble sleeping when I need to, I just close my eyes and go to sleep. That is if nobody bothers me.
Interesting. I never thought about that. I've always like soft pillows, but I guess I would need a medium to firm pillow, since I sleep on my back and sides. Good to know, thanks.
I really am mostly a side sleeper or a back sleeper...I usually don't sleep on my stomach. I feel like I can't breathe when my face is face-down in the pillow.
Also, I can't stand trying to breathe with my head underneath the blankets...it gets wayyy to hot and uncomfortable sleeping under the blankets.
I have slept on hotel pillows, my own pillows, pillows that are in my parents bed, couch pillows etc. I am really not that picky...unless the pillow is rock hard. But what kind of pillow is that?
any pillow is a good pillow to me ^^
i made my own pillow. it's a long sloping thing so it keeps my head elevated just right. I've gone through about 3 of them now. they are perfect. I also keep a regular pillow next to it because i am a baby and have to cuddle something to be able to sleep.
